You do know, that when they first showed SC2 and you could play some campaign or 2v2s, you played it on LAN. So they had LAN in alfa version or w/e it was. They just chose to remove it.

And call me sceptical but their "sometime around the launch" comment regarding the map market place makes me think it wont be ready anywhere near time for release and will come out closer to the third expansion. And finally the hero unit system will be interesting for the campaign. I'm interested to see how they balance it, unlike wc3 where the hero units almost have to be overpowered to make combat interesting due to the low supply limit/upkeep system and creeps... They can't really do that in sc2. And I know they had hero units somewhat in sc/bw, but they were much less overpowered than it seems kerrigan will be. Anyway, great read and thanks for the article.

I'm confused, they heavily focused on saying that sc2 won't be a game with 2 expansions, but rather three separate games leading up to sc2's launch... I just hope they are being truthful when they say it will be priced accordingly then. Otherwise getting new people in to the game could be tricky. I hear from a programmers perspective that wouldn't make any sense.

It was all over the place para 2 Refer to blizzcon 2009, they said a very similar thing and para 3 is personal opinion... I'm just interested in how they balance her abilities to make her useful, but not the sole focus of every mission (like the wc3 characters were.) So... yes... seriously. Anyway, once again, great article!

Going off the OP, it is 3 lings for 50 minerals and 2 supply. Meaning at max supply you can have up to 300 lings. Speedlings is 2 lings for 50 minerals and 1 supply. Meaning at max supply you can have up to 400 lings. I love the Raptor upgrade though. Definitely good against kiting units.
