What do you wish to accomplish by trashing their blogs (Riku) and taking away from what others have accomplished (Kelly)? Can you not stand being in the spotlight? Does everything have to be about you all the time? Why can't you just let it go? Everyone here respects what you've done in the past for eSports, but why can't you accept what others are doing for eSports and the community as well? Once the limelight is off you, can you not handle it anymore? LOL. You sound like you need to chill out. Well since this is my first blog since I started up the Figure Maniacs one months ago I'd hardly say I'm incessantly craving attention. I think you're going a bit overboard, but whatever - you're entitled to your own opinion, just as much as I'm entitled to post a blog if I want to. Actually, I've been having a nice chat with Riku since we exchanged pms this afternoon. Also, I'm friends with Smix and Lilsusie having met both of them irl. I hardly post on tl any more, but it's nice to come back here from time to time. Plus, I'm allowed my own opinion when it comes to things like the Kelly shoot. There's only one girl on TL whom I actively don't get on with. I don't even know the rest of them except in passing or from hearing about them from other people. If I couldn't handle not having the limelight on myself, as you put it - I'd never have retired in the first place, would I?

I mean, wouldn't it be better to save money to buy your big lens back/buy a new one? When you buy a new item for your collection, you will probably feel happy for that moment but after a day or so, I kinda doubt that feeling prevails. And so, after some time, you will set out again to buy something new which will make you happy. But something more...practical would prove more useful and it will make you feel good several times as well. That's what I think at least. Well I don't really need that kind of lens any more since I have no plans to go back into reporting any time soon. As for the point of collecting - well for me it's less about an 'I've gotta catch them all' type mentality, and more about having a haven to come back to. Filling my room with cute items makes me feel comfortable and 'at home.' even though I spend a lot of time alone here due to not having family around etc. I also own pretty much all the practical goods I need (video camera, net-book, my 5D etc.) I would like a PMP and a better mp3 player sometime in the near future though. Ah, then it just sounded worse than it actually was You gave the impression of the other kind of collector, the one who collects things for the same reason that other people smoke/drink/etc. Please don't take that as an insult, I came to that conclusion after considering some facts. Hm, then I guess I can understand you...or at least that's what I would like to say. But I'm not the kind of person who has a "home" or can feel "at home". Never having had that feeling sure has its dis-/advantages. And by the way, screw the cute items and go with some real figures + Show Spoiler + I definitely see the appeal of casting off all your worldly goods, and being a 'free spirit' in terms of baggage. I wonder how it would feel not to be tied down by my hobbies sometimes. Speaking of Gundams - the shops here (Hobby Square) etc have a lot of them in glass display cases. Whilst mecha aren't really my thing I do appreciate the amount of skill and work that goes in to completing the models themselves. I have 2 Kamen Rider kits waiting to be finished. I keep forgetting about them!

You waltz into her blog calling her out for being an attention whore because she posts a blog a day. But you aren't necessarily the model of "not an attention whore". Why do you feel the need to derail a blog needlessly?

Why do you feel the need to derail a blog needlessly? I was also kidding when I said that. Apparently sarcasm really isn't getting translated well today. I didn't call her out about anything. I just made a joke about posting a blog to compete with hers, which she took the wrong way. It's got nothing to do with you ^_^

What are your thoughts on starcraft 2? Have you followed it at all or does it not interest you? As an old BW fan I was super sceptical at first but came around mainly due to how awesome the foreigner scene is now.

Not looking for something extremely fancy; rather, something simple yet quality. I really want to pick up photography as a hobby so your input would be very helpful. ^^ Sorry! I got kind of distracted by the drama llama-ing going on. Well, I've only got experience with a couple of cameras tbh. However, the advice I always give is to consider what type of photography you'd like to experiment with, and build your set up around that. I've personally found that Canon deals with the style of photography I'm more interested in (as well as being better at coping with the sorts of low-light environments eSports provided.) However, I've not tried any of the higher end Nikons, due to mine being a lowly D40X. I'm pretty sure you could pick up a decently priced 5D by now and just go for the same sort of easily transported set up I have by using a 50mm lens (or whatever takes your fancy in terms of wide-angle/telephoto etc.)

As an old BW fan I was super sceptical at first but came around mainly due to how awesome the foreigner scene is now. Well, I've not played it myself due to not having any access to it. However, just from tootling around TL it feels like it's really opened up the scene to a lot of people. The communication between foreign/Korean based houses/players and fans looks like it's taking off upon an unprecedented level. I'm happy to see so many more people being able to get involved in capacities other than simply becoming players themselves. My background as a gamer has always leaned more towards survival horror and rpgs, but BW definitely gave me an interest in seeing high level RTS play. (In the same way that attending DF, CS and other genre events got me watching games I'd never known existed before I came here.) I probably won't go out of my way to play SC2, but the effect its having upon the idea of a truly global eSports community is really starting to look positive. Even if the companies involved are going through legal disputes, and maybe sometimes don't have their priorities in order (aka. Money comes first.) upon a grassroots level SC2 looks like it's bringing a lot of new people out of the woodwork.

I'll leave that can of worms for another time. Now then, my next set of questions: 1) If you could do one last photo shoot with anybody (real person, fictitious person, thing), who would it be? 2) You are in a club. What one song drives you bonkers? 3) Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
