This interview has made me sad. I knew it was only a matter of time before he had to stop, but hearing it directly has really put it in place.
Flash has to win this final. It could be his last. Flash doesn't have to win the final. He WILL win the finals. It's set in stone by the gods of starcraft
And nice icon ya ^^

Poor Flash.
Flash reminds me of Sandy Koufax.
As sad as it would be, you have to say, that would just be the coolest possible story to end a career. Play through pain and still dominate.
Flash. The greatest RTS talent forced to cut his career short, very sad.
Permanent damage? Seems like he certainly pushed himself too hard.
Flash
Ugh, I hope that he can rest enough after this to stay in the game a few more years, but man, this hurts.
I really hope that they're exaggerating this whole wrist injury thing. I really hope so. :/
But that part about his wrist is very bogus i think. We need more clarifications before jumping to conclusions like, "OMG Flash's career is about to end" ...
Flash is so baller and so good at starcraft that my head is going to explode. I'm sad about Hydra though.
Flash is sad that he can't play his buddy, Jaedong, in the finals. And I'm as well =(
Wow Flash, if he have to retire because of his wrist it would make me so sad
Where is everyone getting that he has to retire...one guy mentioned it as pure speculation and then all of a sudden people are saying how his career will end lol
I also wonder what he meant when he said that his doctors said ti was not a problem right now
Wtf is it that serious that he'll have to retire? Please don't jump to conclusions guys, I don't think retire is a correct word. More like taking a break to heal his injuries. He can't just retire like that man hes only 18 or 19 !!!
Oh wow? Does he really need to actually retire? That would be sad .
Well, i'm glad he probably will get a job in Esports as a coach or something when he retires or stops playing.
Thanks for the translation and good luck Flash, one more time..
Lets not jump to conclusions, heres what we can say for sure, his injury is serious enough that flash is paying a lot of attention to it, his practice time and rest time are all calibrated with this injury in mind. The doctors has allegedly stated that the injury is at a state such that no amount of rest will restore it to normal, however it is not serious enough to hinder flash's performance and ability as a progamer, as such flash has decided that he will play with the injury for now, and at a later time attempt to restore it's condition as much as possible. There are no talks of ending careers, however histroy has shown that having a wrist injury would probably indicate an earlier than normal retirement. keep in mind that flash is still relatively young.
I hope he takes care of his wrist.... health is also very important...
so this might be Flash's last hurrah? oh boy ... the final boss of bw to bow down to... wrist injuries
oh man..
Cmon he says doctor said there wont be huge problems at the moment.. Certainly sounds bad though. I think he was waiting for the season to end before treating it seriously, but seeing as KT most likely will make the Playoffs, his treatment looks like they could be heavily delayed. And its not like KT can afford to NOT have Flash play .
Flash you REALLY need to hang in there, even if my motives for wishing so isnt so pure.
thanks for translating. I'm really appreciate it.
His wrist getting worse..he so young. Progamer is human like us too. Hope he will get well soon.
Given everything we know about Flash, I don't see him retiring without taking a 7th gold to surpass NaDa, unless his hand basically falls off. Best of luck. :/
(And yet, I'm force to root for ZerO this time around.)
