+ Show Spoiler + One of the key concepts to this game is profitability. You don't need enough defenses to kill anything that can attack you, but rather you want enough to be unprofitable. This includes making some defenses, but the main idea is to keep your resources low whenever you are offline. This is where fleetsaving comes in, something you'll have to do every day basically. For now, what you want to do is have enough cargo space to hold all of the resources you have on the planet at the moment you're leaving. Then for now you want to send everything you can, resources, ships etc to someone else in the alliance (check the member list for someone nearby), and on the mission "ACS defend", with 0 hour hold time. Try to line up the time the the ships return with when you come back by adjusting the speed of the ships. Make sure to pay attention to the return time. As for overall goals, if you haven't yet, the main goals you want to focus towards for the first week is astrophysics, and a colony ship. There's a lot of things you can do, but the safest thing you can do with your first colony is put it in your solar system, in a slot 7-9. Also, as soon as astrophysics is finished, you can do expeditions (check my previous post). Make sure you do it to get the tutorial bonus. I'll go over colonizing strategies later today or tomorrow if I can find time. | ||

If we are going to go by points, or rank etc. Looking for fun ideas and suggestions. Also all new members, ranks have been fixed. The inactive members will be removed soon, If you have been removed and would like to join back up just let me know, and try to be a little more active | ||

I'm having a bit of trouble though. There is this one player who constantly attacks me every time he's off cooldown (plays 24h a day or something) and is stealing all my resources. I can't build defenses now cause I simply don't have any Deuterium left and I'm on a Barren planet. I'm not sure how much the mining quota differs if you're on a wet planet as compared to a Barren. Is it significant? I couldn't find it on the OGame wikia. If it matters a lot I might colonize a wet planet when I get there. | ||

I know this is a war game, But I'm not looking for a rigid alliance. The main reason is we have many many members, and many New members to the game. As for ranking i was thinking about 10 ranks And they go up by points or proportional to ranks. These would be the basic ranks anyone person can go for. And then a few other ranks to point out the leaders/helpful people in the alliance. Quite enjoying this so far - although I'm probably going to turn into a turtler rather than a fleeter. I did raid a guy a couple of times and enjoyed watching him try to retaliate as I log on 2 mins before he arrives to RS.. The attacker has won the battle! Loot : 51 Metal, 23 Crystal and 7 Deuterium. debris field : 1.200 metal and 1.200 crystal. Repaired : 3 Rocket Launcher nice trade bro! | ||

I snuck some defense in there as there apparently is a rule that you can't attack a player more than 6 times in 24 hours. I've also found the formula for Deuterium harvesting as well. | ||
