As for all rank suggestions, remember we have a total of 20 rank slots to worth with only.
I figured it worked out to being just slightly ahead or no change... plus if there's a ninja I only lose half my fleet. And i have four fleet slots total, which I cant possibly use right now lol.
Edit: forgt to mention; this way, I raided 5k crystal and 5k metal. One wave would net something like 7k metal and 3k crystal. That's definitely to my advantage.

So if someone keeps raiding me over and over again, what should i do? I can only get rocket defence and just finished laser tech. I lost all my ships and most of my rocket defenses ='[

Keep less resources on your planet, fleetsave, build enough defence to cover your nightly production. No one will raid if you aren't profitable, but if you become profitable its your own fault for not planning better.

Yep I was in the same position as you. First of all a player cannot attack you more than 6 times in 24 hours. If he does it's called bashing and is a bannable offense (so state the rules)
I just kept my resources to a bare minimum all the time and in the mean while got some defenses up whenever I could. Of course he attacked me again but his fleet is now a pile of debris around my planet

Get home a little later than expected -> worry about your fleet getting destroyed cause you set it to return earlier

Smartphone imba. I posted two replies to this topic, espionaged a couple d00des, sent out an attack and started a research in between sets at the gym today. As long as I don't get banned for my roaming IP, it's all good, and I already logged a ticket notifying them that my IP does change.

Exact same boat dude, hahaha. What I've been doing is skipping defenses (besides some for when you go to sleep) and making SC, then just loading up all my money, setting it to return in the morning. Then, unless someone raided you in the middle of the night, you've got all your money! Which, I do believe, is the purpose of Fleetsaving.
You do have to be careful though, be sure to have enough defenses overnight to make an attack seem unprofitable.
Some rank 600 is two planets away from me, so I have like a 20 minute warning whenever he decides he wants my money, so I'm just skipping on the defenses and keeping my money mobile enough so that he can never get it, xD

Ok so I'm trying to get into ogame. I created an account, validated my email, etc. However when I try to log in it just brings me back to the home page. I thought it was a chrome compatibility issue and so I tried firefox. Firefox got me to my "main screen" I guess you could call it, but whenever I would click on any of the links on the left column (merchant, resources, etc) it would just bring me back to the home login screen. I also tried on safari with the same luck as chrome.
Any thoughts?

Ok did this and it allows me to login now and get to the "main screen" on chrome. However the same problem occurs when i click on any of the menus on the left "resources, facilities, etc" it automatically goes back to the home page as if I never logged in. Quite frustrating to say the least.

If your getting slammed when you sleep build up your defense, and if you need to turn your mine production down. (turn it back on when you are online)
Do this till you have enough breathing room to leave your production on full time.

Getting astrophysics is harder to get than I thought, upgrading level 2 impulse atm, need more discipline though, stop spending crystal on crap that I don't need right now :<
