Can you please link or create a 'getting started' type instruction in the OP for those of us who are new to this type of game? I don't want to start off with a noob error and ruin my whole account. It takes a little bit of a slow start, Just go a head and create an acct and apply. We will have some nice guides available soon so no need to worry about screwing up your acct

Got partially far into it until I got bombarded by a whole alliance. I was making too many resources, and I looked like good farming material to them. They destroyed all my energy-making structures and I was left for dead. If you have a TeamLiquid alliance, I'd be happy to join! Yes we do Welcome to the alliance

For example, (v n) or (s) Is the # their ranking?

The v means they are in vacation mode, so nothing can touch them, the n means they are novice, meaning they are less than 1/5th your point and you can't attack them.

I forgot what default colors are, but in the lower right of the view screen you should see an [i] box that's the legend. Yellow or something means they are the top ranked, i think white means they are fairly low ranked, and green means they are too low ranked for you to attack. I installed the anti-game script, and you're right, it makes it much easier.

I played this for a while. too hard >< fleetsaving a;sdgkhsa;lkdg Haha fleetsaving is only complicated if you don't have a moon, and a moon will be much easier to get on a 2x uni with 60 percent to DF. If I'm busy, I can spend 5 minutes a day on the game and stay safe (though this probably won't be the case for the first 2 ish weeks. Just look at the advantages the money gives... I'd disagree with insurmountable, plenty of top players don't spend any money at all. Storr's certainly been top 10 in multiple universes without spending any money. Even the "best" officers add around a 5 percent advantage, which is definitely workable. Granted I'm not for it either, but unless you've played, don't imply there's a huge gap between people who spend money and people who don't.

Keep in mind that metal should be mined much more than the other two resources, and crystal the second important, with deuterium as the least important. You want to spend your starting time upgrading metal and crystal mines so you're able to slowly and slowly be able to upgrade the other buildings without waiting for too long.

In the mid game, things shift a little to be like Crystal > Deuterium > Metal because every inactive in a 10 mile radius has tons of metal. Then again, this is a new universe you're all starting in.

Its pretty much a huge mess to get important researches started haha. Quite right. And don't planets get more dependent on satellites for energy later on instead of solar plants and fusion reactors? Those are 2,000 Crystal a piece including 500 Deuterium.

Those are 2,000 Crystal a piece including 500 Deuterium. Fusions are TRASH dont' get them. and yes solar plants become SUPER expensive, so the best way to power latter on is solar sats. They can be killed. But the res spent for higher level solar plants, vs the total cost of extra defense and solar sats to power, is MUCH cheaper.
