You know Eeeesports is growing when you are signing breasts ^^
Thank you for the signature.

This is a step forward for e-sports...but so many of the comments on this thread show that e-sports still has a long way to go. (heh)
Thanks for trying to keep it classy mods!

Congratulations Random woman! What an honour you received!! I am so jealous!!
XD

This post is becoming so epic, its going to implode on itself.. or be closed.
Either way.. a couple of points.
- Womens rights people.. back off.. seriously, she wanted her tits signed, they signed them.. its cool.
- Her skirt seemed very short.. I'd like to see more pictures of that ;p
- Day[9] did it first..

i want day9 to sign my chest too D:

Only tl posters can take something this tame, and make a big deal about it. Absolutely fantastic guys I really didn't think you could become even more pedantic.

Anyone who does anything on the internet is bound to get criticism. As for the girl, I'll thank her for sharing the picture. Believe me, I've seen much more of what you would call "fan whoring" on the internet.

In all seriousness though, what's the big deal? Huk, Destiny, and the girl have are just having fun, and isn't having fun the whole point of playing/watching StarCraft~?

I like it when people comment on the choice of her autographs as if it's a build order they're picking apart. She's a fan, with sigs on her boobs. It's cool bro, it's cool.

This threads out of control. Both sides hold some weight though. She obviously wanted attention for that act as she posted this on reddit.
But the comments have been everywhere from ridiculous to downright shameful and rude. This thread in my opinion should be locked and people need to learn to post with a bit more respect. This community is normally amazing but this thread is kind of a black eye right now.

She was going to get Naniwa to sign since he actually won but he just scowled at her and said fuck off.*
* the above may or may not be true.

Jeez, the standards in this thread. She dresses nice, obviously has moderate/good self esteem and is cool enough to post up a picture of her signed tits. She doesn't look fat to me at all and I'd bet she's probably a pretty cool chick.

And it is extremely nerdy when rockstars/moviestars/athletes sign a girls breasts too right?
People on these forums aren't saying its awesome because OMG THERES BOOBS... if we wanted to see boobs we could go to any of a million websites that are dedicated to taht. The fact is that people were pumped because girls asking you to sign their breasts is a sweet status symbol.
If you do your job great at an engineering firm or as an accountant no woman is gonna ask you to sign her boobs, the fact that girls are asking gamers to sign them puts them in a whole nother level
|
Uwaah thats so cool! ^^
She may have been showing off, but tbh, i think id show off too if i had my boobs signed by some awesome progamers!
(And a previous poster said she felt this was degrading to female gamers? See, im a girl and i dont think its degrading at all :/ And it certainly doesnt make me feel like female gamers are being badly represented or whatever :/ )
And she certainly doesnt look fat. She looks normal. Not fat. Not anorexic. Normal. She looks like shes at a healthy weight.

Nice post from Jinro. How did he get so wise?
I honestly believe the vast majority of people on this site aren't stupid enough to see this and think that all girls behave this way and that's an excuse to insult them. There's just a few idiots about that make more noise than everyone else combined, and thankfully the mods here silence them.
I would certainly never ask a guy to sign my breasts, but I have no problem with the girl in the photo doing it. I even think it's fun. A photo like this is not an excuse to treat her or me or any woman like she's just a piece of meat. I'm glad to see so many sensible people speaking up - hopefully we'll silence the idiot minority some day. Then we'll get more girls feeling brave enough to get more involved with the community, and we'll see the stereotypes change when there's more girl gamers about that just the ones in hotpants promoting Razer.

Im not sure why people are linking the comments made on a NICHE starcraft website to girls not playing starcraft.
According to average active viewers of TL, much less than 1% of the sc community comes here at all. Furthermore, a girl thinking about getting into starcraft isn't very likely to have visited a niche fan website for the game before trying it.
I bought starcraft because i wanted to play starcraft, i didn't find this website for months after. Female culture is less accepting of gaming than male culture, thus you see less females gaming,
It has little to nothing to do with a backwater website that nobody outside of a very small subset community has heard of. to take it a step further and say a particular thread is "the reason" girls dont game is another step into retardation.
I got into starcraft because its a hobby my husband enjoys a lot, and i wanted to take part. I understand fully that teenage boys will make lewd comments about women, It is not going to stop me, or any reasonably motivated woman from taking part.
People constantly jibe at July for being slightly overweight and nobody bats an eye, please stop this fuss over a few comments made about someone who quite clearly has a lot of self confidence anyway, A woman who is taking pictures of her tits, whilst wearing tiny panties... to post on the internet is very unlikely to be the sort of woman who gives a shit about what a 15 year old types in a post.
Chill out guys

I asked Huk to sign my breast but he refused...

QFT.
More threads getting out of hands like this means less boobs for me to sign in the future, which means less incentive to stream/practice, which means less motivation for most people to practice and place well in tournies, which means the death of e-sports as we know it.
TL:DR if you hate on boobs, you're destroying e-sports.

I think everyone's just jealous that they don't have the chest to fit Destiny's whole name on there. It's okay guys, not everyone can be well-developed.
I honestly don't view this as a form of wanting attention, it was cute/fun and she just wanted to share it with people, if you don't want to give her that kind of attention, don't look or post (kind of hard, but yeah... you get my point).
I don't understand the need to be blatantly mean.

Chill out guys I'm not sure what July being overweight has to do with this. It is a noticeable aspect of him, so obviously there will be some comments about it, but July is generally well-loved so they will be good-natured. If there actually would be people screaming "DEATH TO THE FATTY", they'd be banned (and this has happened), so that means you can't just categorize all comments about someone's weight as equal.
The posts here perpetuate a male gamer stereotype of somehow hateful of and hostile to women. Maybe you can see past this: after all, it just happens on this tiny insignificant niche website(??) - but really, as far as the argument is concerned, teamliquid is all that matters. It was said on this website, which is representative for gaming websites. It happens on other places too, but that's not relevant other than to say the bad example shown here shows up beyond here too.
I mean, good for you to not be offended by this, but what actually is your point? Because people should be 'big enough people' to not care too much about the hostility to women, then it's actually bad to be annoyed when said hostility happens?
