Also, I'm pretty sure it's common knowledge that females who wear such "attire" at gaming events are only looking to get fucked. At least that's my experience with Blizzcon and Dreamhack. And I'm sure you know this from taking girls home from Blizzcon/Dreamhack and not pure speculation, right? I personally don't view this picture as anything to do with gamer girls. I only am looking at this thread to see more tits, like most guys here. From the responses here, it's clear almost any post other than "nice tits" is going to be attacked. The thread would have been fine but then there are posts generalizing from this one picture... If you read the original link youd see she has a boyfriend.

We males should stop acting like cavemen who go bananas at the first sight of some half-naked breasts, BUT the females should stop using their sex to take advantage of it. Obviously it is pretty unlikely to ever happen, but as Dukhat [Babylon 5] once said "When others do a foolish thing you should tell them it is a foolish thing. They can still continue to do it, but at least the truth is out." Agreed.
Girls in every scene do this once in a while. It has nothing to do with the fact that she was a gamer. I'm sure if she liked rock music, hockey or ping-pong she would have got a top player in any of those fields to sign her chest.
@stephls : If your goal is to fight people being portrayed as sex symbols, you have about 7000 years of history to undo. Also, trillions of dollars in marketing campaigns. I'm not going to say there's equal representation of each gender in sex symbol roles - but it would be rediculous to say that only females are portrayed as such.

People really dont need a reason to argue about anything anymore do they? Two big boobs with huk and destiny written on them, you dont even need to look at the rest of the picture if you dont want.

I think I speak for the rest of the community when I say I would love to see a female compete in e-Sports at a high level. I don't really know the semantics of it, but, I highly doubt sexism plays a factor in placement for GSL spots. That sounds as if it would be somewhat illegal. If anything, it would help them get babied by GOM. (Similar to some foreign players). It seems like you're over reacting to some guys liking boobs. Simple biology
I would like to reiterate that I haven't checked any facts in sexism in SC2 placement

Guys harassing girl gamers AND tgirl gamers using their god given gifts for attention can be seen in all games, especially MMO's. It's kinda sad both that some guys can't control themselves around girls online and that some girls do anything for attention/drama in online games.
These two stereotypes are very common and coined phrases such as "grrl gamer", "online white knights" etc.

That being said you also should consider that there is ALWAYS "too much of a good thing" which is valid in every aspect of our lives(*1). Overexposure simply means you need a "higher dose" next time around to get to the same level of excitement and thus it might be more advantageous for us males to "save the dose of boob exposure" for the time spent with your girlfriend.

EDIT: tl;dr: I do like boobs, but I HATE overexposure of a good thing and think it is a waste to use things when there is no connection to them at the time and place.

A) You don't like boobs, for sure. B) The connection between boobs and Starcraft in this situation is that two pro gamers autographed a girls breasts. The female wanted her breasts signed by two men she knew to be famous. I don't know about the rest of you, but, I know I fantasize about famous people.
That being said, my reply was directed at your correlation between the men oogling at the picture and the lack of girls in the professional gaming scene. You did not retort to, or even address your the fact that 'us banana eating un-evolved barbarians' had slim to nothing to do with the presence of women in professional gaming.

a) Unless you have some hormone deficiency, nearing a certain age, or have worked decades on your self control via meditating, you natural instinct will always be "OMG BOOBS" when presented with a pair.
Don't lie to yourself.

Guys who are always going "woot ... boobs ... awesome!" are not better than small children or animals which are also driven by instincts and emotions. I thought we were more advanced than that already, but I guess a few decades of marketing and TV have put us a few steps back there ... b. What exactly is the connection between boobs and Starcraft? [I really am looking forward to the answer to this one if you try to make it different from "There is none." ...] That being said you also should consider that there is ALWAYS "too much of a good thing" which is valid in every aspect of our lives(*1). Overexposure simply means you need a "higher dose" next time around to get to the same level of excitement and thus it might be more advantageous for us males to "save the dose of boob exposure" for the time spent with your girlfriend. (*1) Philippus Theophrastus Paracelsus (1493 - 1541) coined a very very good phrase: "Alle Dinge sind Gift, und nichts ist ohne Gift. Allein die Dosis macht, daß ein Ding kein Gift ist." [Every thing is poison, nothing is without poison. Only the dosage determines if a thing is poisonous or not.] EDIT: tl;dr: I do like boobs, but I HATE overexposure of a good thing and think it is a waste to use things when there is no connection to them at the time and place. a) Unless you have some hormone deficiency, nearing a certain age, or have worked decades on your self control via meditating, you natural instinct will always be "OMG BOOBS" when presented with a pair. White Knight Syndrome n. A personality characteristic found in most males that lead them to: 1. rush to the aid of any female they see who appears in any form of distress. 2. Become attracted to said damsel in distress. 3. Follow the dying code of chivalry and generally act like a nice guy.

I feel bad for the boyfriend. We need to stop spending time and money on attention whores.

I don't understand why everything these days has to be some sort of social commentary as if something like this is going to set woman's suffrage back 50 years, or every guy in this thread is some sort of horrible person and a heathen...
Why can't something just be fun, have a laugh, make a few comments and move on? I mean for real everything typed on the internet isn't 100% serious all the time. A few boob comments doesn't mean every guy on this forum is now going to walk around with a club knocking any girl they see over their head and dragging them back to their cave. And if they do end up doing that they probably would have regardless of this thread and said picture.
Just so sick how everything fun deteriorates into something like this. News flash, this isn't the first girl in the world to have their cleavage signed. Even the old lady in Happy Gilmore got her cleavage signed!
