Hello once again people!
I've been struggling with being motivated to play mostly because I suffer from indecisiveness. I just can't pick my race for my self. So let me get you some info of my stance on all the races. I'll give you a quick summary of each.
Protoss:They were always my favorites through out brood war however. As you all know Sc2 != BW so this doesn't really translate. The one big thing that grinds my gears about protoss is the fact they are so one dimensional or two dimensional rather. There's four gate and there's going FE to colossus production. I am aware of that there are other builds but the only other build that's effective is some SG vs zerg and to be honest that's quite fun but it still leads in to the colossus ball play. What bugs me I guess is that protoss is so dependant on one single unit which just doesn't appeal to my playstyle as I like to play macro but i like to diversify my builds and though it's possible I've never thought to my self when I don't go colossus that I am better of than if I would have gone for them. However this is the only race I've really spent time getting good at so the other races require a lot more practice for me but I guess that's not the biggest deal.
Terran:Though I really like the possibilities for diverse play with terran this is the race I don't really know anything about. I like that you got two paths that are viable even late game, the two being of course bio and mech. But yeah terran sure seems kinda awesome just that TvT feels kinda gay but PvP is the worst matchup in game so I shouldn't complain.
Zerg:Zerg is probably the race that I've wanted to get good at for the longest time but I haaaate losing to every freaking 1 base allin there is in there and never really feeling safe. The sense of uncertainty is what puts me off zerg and that you can't really decide much in the game you have to pretty much react to your opponent which is what bugs me with them. I really like the army controlling and macro of zerg though it's quite entertaining actually. ZvZ is actually the only mirror I enjoy after trying out the dimaga build which allows for quite awesome games.
So as I might be the most indecisive guy on the planet I'd much rather have someone else pick for me because otherwise I'll just jump between the races and just be sucky at all of them. So what would you suggest for me given the data that I've provided about my stance towards the races?
Poll: What race should I play?Zerg (26) 41% Terran (19) 30% Protoss (19) 30% 64 total votes Your vote: What race should I play? (Vote): Zerg (Vote): Terran (Vote): Protoss
Also the only reason I do this is because i want to get into the game but I just can't decide and yeah I really want to play a single race and not random.

terran in wol zerg in hos protoss in lov that's blizz recomended = favored
random is the only way to play

No one's going to be able to tell you what race to play, as it depends on a ton of factors. Honestly, if you're having trouble choosing, I'd reccomend rolling random for a while longer. Eventaually you'll find the things you like. For instance, NonY has great sense of timings, so protoss is really suited for him. IdrA really likes big macro plays, so zerg is good for him. Personally, I just enjoy the challenge of zerg, which is what makes the game fun for me. I have a lot less fun if I'm just making a colossus ball or slow pushing the map with marine/tank.
Just keep note of the little things you enjoy that aren't race specific. I like timing attacks, or I like slow, powerful plays, or I like fast in your face attack, etc because if you just choose Zerg because some guy on a forum said to do that, you're probably going to end up switching again and wasting practice time.

Voted for Protoss to help the three races tie.
Play whatever until you decide. I really don't think that a poll is going to help you.
Best of luck to you

The reason why I don't really want to pick myself is because I am so bad at it ^^. In beta I started out as protoss, went terran after a month and then zerg. When the game was released i went back to toss, and then zerg a while and then toss again now I've been playing terran mostly and all I can say really is that I like them all but I hate randoming as I like to plan my games way ahead and have a few builds to choose from and as random it's really hard to perfect more than 1-2 builds per race which just makes it no fun for me to be honest. But I've played a lot of them quite a bit so I know the perks that come with each race it's just that I don't really have a favorite and I don't like randoming .p

YOU WANT TO PLAY TERRAN.
Terran is the most diverse for build orders, so you will never get bored of something like 4gate or FE colossus. Terran is super EZ to learn, unlike zerg which takes forever until u can win consistently.
With terran u can also choose to turtle or play super agressive which is harder with the other races.

If you don't like a race so much that you can't choose then maybe you should play sc2. I really like playing any race so much that I will pick whatever i feel like and its weird to me that TONS of people can't choose.

you played toss in bw and consider defecting ?!
deal with the retarded mirror, deal with yawnlossus, take it like a man and do not betray, the superior race shall always pull through good and bad times alike.
toss fighting !
(but if you're gonna pull this shameful treasonous move, choose toss' ugly stepbrother, the zerg. at least those retarded animals are some sort of distant cousin, with awesome weird things and such, if you can handle getting stomped under marine boots and toss lasers/weather until you unleash the power)
-- non-rp version: [disclaimer: arguable generalities to follow]
- you played bw toss -> you'll understand the race a lot better, at least a part of it - toss is very strong atm, and pretty friendly to new players, though hard to master, similarily to bw - pretty limited tech paths, and you have the least mobility of the races, despite warpgate; crappiest mirror, and difficult tech switches/replenishment of army
- terran has the most varied playstyle and tech paths - terran is available in the campaign, which makes it a fuckton easier to learn wregardless of what some people might say - highly demanding on multitasking skills for bio, highly demanding on a sense of positional play for mech and timings for both; strong overall, but needs to be very succesful with its aggression throughout the game
- zerg has the most interesting mechanics in my eyes, i'd have chosen zerg in sc2 if not for my bw love of toss. this is also quite the negative though - most macro friendly race, with instant tech switches available - too reactionary, and vulnerable to all sorts of timings; do think there's still a lot of awesome tactics yet to be discovered with zerg for mid/late game, but regardless, highest learning curve and thus the least newb friendly race. frustrating =/= fun play judging from zerg players' propensity to qq about everything when their favourite zerg pro gets completely outclassed (trollbait line, all in good fun, so don't bite )
play toss because they're awesome and doesn't afraid of anything.
