In UI design, one of the key considerations is how to maximize your use of the screen real-estate. Not to bash TL and other popular websites, but when the content on a page gets to be too long, the amount of screen real-estate being used is roughly 50%. The far left margins and the far right margins are just empty white-space. I think this hate of their redesign is mostly as a result of people being averse to good change. In 2 months, people will probably be squawking about how good gawker's design is.

Not to mention that the code behind it is still a broken mess and they really need to do something about the scrolling. Click around for a bit, see if you remember where you were. I'm not even going to start about the iframe feel, though those would likely have been faster. It's a gamble, literally in fact. Time will tell how well it works out, but it has nothing to do with circle-jerking or just dismissing any change. Though I'm glad at least some people like it The side margins really don't contain less space now btw.

Then again, it's Nada we're talkin about :d Remember that sc2 APM is measured with the game speed, so it's slower than your atual APM.
