The new layout, plus the new review system they have been using the last months are why I have stopped using Kotaku.

Wow, I really hope TL never updates like Kotaku- takes forever load their website. Interesting read if slightly outdated in who they are choosing to interview.

Kotaku needs to get the old site back. It's going down the digg's path.

It's ironic because Gawker spent a loooottt of time taking shots at Digg for their botched redesign. Though I guess that's not really relevant to the article, just an aside. For covering SC2 I will forgive them for now. But they'd better keep the coverage coming if they want to keep me visiting ><

If you first read the article when it was published on the site a few days back, they actually modified it. They believed there was only two seasons of GSL and the article was entitled "The World’s *Best* StarCraft II Player Offers You The Most Delicious Fruit"
I wish FD was up to standards nowadays. ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
Edit: Haha, also the comments page was filled with complaints of how slow Kotaku is on the updates.... guess were all covered up.

This interview is so 2010. Not interesting at all.

Pity I can't stand to go to that website anymore! iframes give me brain cancer.

Am I just misreading this, or does the first part of this paragraph not jive with the second part:
"My mother is always on my side, whatever my decision is," Kim says, adding that his mother always advises him to do his best.
Kim left home at age twenty and has been living alone ever since. His mother never visited him to show her belief in her son, Kim says."Oh wait, she visited me once when I was in the hospital for an operation, but she paid 3-hour long visit at that time," he adds with a laugh.

I guess those comments from Byun(I think) are starting to make sense. He said FD doesn't practice enough and doesn't deserve Code S. That may very well turn out to be the case fairly soon.

Wow the revamped site is annoying. I want my content in the middle.
Otherwise, great interview.

I thought it was a really small amount of info, but at least that's a start.
Hope they'll get interested into doing more and more

It's because the sidebar doesn't move with the rest of the page!! Gaah. And who the fuck puts a sidebar on the right side of a page!! And it doesn't have a scrollbar even though it scrolls!! GAAAH!!
Oh god you are so right. I hate whenever websites use that, its very counter intuitive.
On topic: Even if it is nice to see sc2 getting more mainstream gaming attention i think that a website/community/blog which is not taking esports seriously has no reason to be doing what they are doing. At some level it becomes like running a baseball website but only focussing on people playing catch in their front-yard.
With this interview i feel like they did a good job though and i hope to see them getting more involved in esports because it might be one of the best/most appropriately directed ways of getting pro-sc2 the attention it needs/deserves.
Still i feel a bit sad that FD didn't do this interview for TL for example

It's crazy that he can "not practice that much" and still be so good.
Although he still probably practices a lot in western terms.
|
Pretty good interview, wish he would have talked about his life with TSL. I lol'd at that apm comment. 500 apm rofl Losira's spam doesnt even get that high.

Nice of Kotaku to initiate the interview with FD but I'm not very fond of the new layout.

Reminds me of....Marat Safin (I may have the wrong player, i never followed pro tennis THAT closely when i played, my second guess would be Moya?). Going into big tournaments he would only practice like 2-3 hours a day and got a lot of flack from other players and the media because he was SO FEAKING good for practicing so much less than someone else. Side note that isn't so much like FD, whoever the player was explained it as tennis is just a job to me, I don't love it and don't want to practice 8 hours a day. I make enough money at my level not working my butt off.
Also I hope this season can bring FD back to the top. I picked him for my fantasy team as I feel if hes practicing just ZvP for the next 1.5 weeks he should be up to snuff. Don't make me regret my decision!!!

fruitdealer is right, if you have 150-200 apm without much spam you are doing a-ok
