Although I did root for Stork, this put a huge grin on my face because this brought back the Fantasy I admire, the fantasy that goes toe-to-toe with Stork on Outsider and rapes smaller tosses with vultures/mine drags alone.
Great series planning by Fantasy - Stork's game plan (which was I think the same vs Hiya) of aggression => free money UMS shuttle micro => expand while opponent is distracted => lol pure goon/lot breaks got completely shut down by Fantasy's foresight of getting mobile anti-air >______>;
Great multitasking and pressure by Fantasy too...God I enjoyed this series, as one sided as it was.

Stork reverted back to his old style of being predictable in the final. That was why he got 3-0ed by Flash 3 years ago, and now this. If you remember Stork from the Incruit OSL, the one which he won, he was being anything but predictable, and hence why he was able to win. I will never forget Stork schooling Best in the semi-final of Incruit OSL. That was creativity. That was being unpredictable. That was championship material.

Edit: Actually we should just talk about this in the main thread

T_T i just lost all motivation to watch sc
no protoss champion AGAIN
and i think this was the best chance considering god youngho is out of both leagues
congratulations to fantasy though..

You've got to admit, I don't think I've ever seen dropships used like that in game 3, just ridiculous harass all over the place from Fantasy, I liked the games (ok ok, Fantasy's my favorite Terran, from my favorite team yadiyadiyada and I play Terran but still, it was a well-orchestrated rape)
|
you guys should be happy for fantasy. he played so well in the incruit and batoo finals ( let alone during regular season), only to be edged out.. he def deserves this more than effort did last year.

Eh, i'm not so impressed by Fantasy as disappointed by Stork - he really didn't seem prepared for any sort of dropship style harassment - one of the main styles that Fantasy plays by - on maps that seems to favor that style of TvP. He really didn't seem to be making good decisions / engaging oddly / not hitting weak timings by the terran properly / making risks that didn't seem necessary.
Also, Fantasy had a VERY easy run to get this championship - if you look at his quality opponents, his toughest person in his group was probably Free, and Calm isn't exactly the greatest ZvT player (whatsoever).
Granted, stork's opponents weren't that impressive eitherr, but this is one of the less impressive OSL runs for me - but grats to fantasy for at least managing to win once - especially after failing so hard in game5 against jaedong :O

what can be done when they are that inconsistent? (Stork raping WL and losing 3-0 in both leagues ¬¬')
Edit: Even in favorable maps =/

Ya, and its such a shame too. I personally was pulling for Stork. I think he is such an awesome player even though I play Terran.

I felt that Stork's play was subpar from what it normally was, and he faced many problems, possibly due to over expanding, where as fantasy completely read Stork's play and just counter builded everything he tried. Game 3 was more or less a big blunder from Stork allowing elevator play, to completely make him lose his main, and his control of the map.

stork lost due to ee han timing by his girlfriend
|
stork had some bad luck with spawn positions
the double expo into fantasy on aztec after failed reavers was just desperate though
|
For some reason (forgive me if I'm wrong) Stork just doesn't seem clutch in the right moments - that is finals, ro4, spotlight situations...is it just nervousness from being so close to the top or is it that every time that he gets near the gold, coincidentally there's just someone there who's better prepared (regardless of how good Stork is at that time) or ready to break out (JD '07, Flash '08, Fanta '11 [guided through the Force by oov no doubt])? Because there's definitely a difference between a mental obstacle and just sheer bad luck.
