The standings are pretty interesting, I doubt anyone would've predicted the teams currently at the top 4... Guess I should spoiler my thoughts... + Show Spoiler + So I'm sure everyone expected almost the entire standing table to be reversed (bar MvP). It is certainly a bit of a shock to see IM right at the bottom, considering they were 2/4 of the GSL4 semi-finals. I guess it's to be expected considering NesTea and mvp aren't playing. One wonders where the team would be if they were playing their strongest players. It's good to see some of the smaller teams doing well though, shows that there are lots of up and coming players ^^

Dunno if people who follow the korean websites have greater insights about their players. Well, for Ryung specifically, is usually high on the Top 200, finished Top 8 in Gainward (through long single eliminations and beat Kyrix, Rainbow in Bo3s), and used to be on Prime.

Well I think they don't take this tournament too serious... GSL is far more important...

After tonight's games, SlayerS, ZeNEX, and Startale have clinched the top 3 spots, and their games tomorrow will determine who finishes first and who finishes 2nd. On the other end of the spectrum, IM and MvP have been eliminated from playoff contention. The four who are left to battle it out over the last spot are the following. oGs-TL 4-4 (0) - they have completed their matches, so they have to await tomorrow's results. TSL 3-4 (-2) & Prime.WE 3-4 (-2) - these two teams play each other tomorrow. If it's a 4-3 game, both miss the playoffs. If it's 4-2, the winner of the series goes to tiebreaker against oGs-TL. Assuming this goes by head to head record, oGs-TL would hold the tiebreaker against TSL and Prime.WE would hold the tiebreaker over oGs-TL. This means that in order to pass oGs-TL for the playoffs, TSL needs to win 4-1 or 4-0, and Prime.WE needs to win 4-2 or better. However, we still haven't counted the last team. fOu 3-4 (-3) will finish out the playoff scenarios. fOu, with their poor differential and the fact that they just lost to oGs-TL, needs to go 4-0 to pass oGs-TL. If they do anything worse than 4-0, they will be eliminated. Because they are 1 game differential behind TSL, and TSL beat fOu head to head, if TSL wins 4-1 or 4-0 tomorrow they will advance to the playoffs no matter what fOu does. Finally, if fOu goes 4-0, Prime.WE needs to win 4-0 to go to the playoffs, because they lost to fOu head to head. I just realized there's 1 more situation: fOu goes 4-1 and prime.WE goes 4-2, which would cause a 3-way tie between them and oGs. No idea how that tie would be broken. I hope I didn't leave anybody more confused than they were before they read this. oh yeah this is all assuming no penalty points for any teams. as far as I know TSL has 2 warnings and fOu has 1 warning, but neither have any actual penalty points. If they do, that changes things, obviously.

I think the warnings are actually penalties? I'm not sure. It's a bit stupid to give out penalties for chatting ingame. Sounds like Kespa-slavery. S2con released a statement about a 3-way-tie situation today: Team with penalty points are considered last in such a tie. I'm not sure. It raises hope for oGs-TL, but they still rely on specific results.
