This Blog is pretty much to know and talk about how did you guys find and came to like Starcraft was it because you went in a game store and saw the poster, maybe you're Boxer's dad 4th cousin or the way you found out. Plus you can spend as much time as you want telling us your Starcraft story. For example my story:
(Before anything else I'm 13 yrs old, and I live in Mexico)
This dates back to about 3 years ago, I went to my aunt's house in USA, and since it's not a big house, i had to stay i the studio cause i was going with my cousins. So I'm at the studio right, i wake up this morning and I'm to lazy to get up, so i start examining the room, I see 3 CPUs (my uncle's awesome with CPUs) the I see 2 bookshelves and in one of those is THE GREATEST VIDEO-GAME EVER MADE BY MANKIND!!! Starcraft & Starcraft Brood War in the Box Set with the ticket of purchase.
So now I see this Box (what I just said 'bout SC being THE GREATEST VIDEO-GAME EVER MADE BY MANKIND I didn't know yet) and i ask my uncle what's it about and he tells me it's a Real-Time Strategy Game and, he offers me to play a demonstration, so he play's vs the CPU and it looks like he is winning
but he cant beat the cpu in a very epic game (he hasn't played in like 7-9 yrs) ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/W2zyW.jpg) so he just becomes focused on the game and is thinking strategies and telling me them (I didn't understand sh*t of what he was saying).
So he wins and I ask if I can play, so he says yes and I'm exited, i play Terran and he picks an easy map (don't remember name) and im happily doing what my uncle tells me to do and all the suddenly a big wave of marines + firebats+medics come streaming in to my base, so you can figure out I lost and so i get a lot into Starcraft and realize there's a whole world behind it and i want to become good at it.
I called myself good cause i'd vs the CPU with like 9-10 Battlecrusiers but it was on a map in which top-left had infinite minerals and gas, meanwhile bottom-right had 8 mineral patches + 1 gas so whoever had top-left wins, (I always had top-left  )
So i play Starcraft Brood War for the next 3 years like a hobbie, at some point I decided to play online, almost nobody let me play with them cause I had a 1-2-0 record and with that experience I go back to beating the CPU with 10 BCs!! :D
Then about in May 2010 I'm in google.com and I'm as bored as a rock, so I see the Starcraft icon in my desktop and i search "Starcraft" in google.
What appeared there was so awesome that I didn't sleep that night.

So then I'm searching every thing that can be searched about Starcraft 2, I watched Protoss units videos, and i eventually 2 months later after a long painful, never-ending, full of days of watching the time go by agony (LOL like anyone's going to believe that one) well more like a "I want Starcraft 2!!" wait i went to the midnight launch July 27 2010 and got Starcraft 2...
Well now I'm a 1700 gold player that plays SC2 almost every day, I've being in 1 tournament so far (TL Open 3).

well yeah i didn't but I'm pretty sure 10-13 year old children don't program any kind games of CPUs software, and well iCCup I recently discovered it and its quite awesome

I found out about starcraft because my family wasn't very well off back in the day (I guess I would have been 9 or 10) and I would go over to my friends house sometimes to watch him play video games. He kept playing some game called crimson remorse and also warcraft. Anyhow I thought it was great (of course I always wanted to play but never got hte chance) but I begged my parents to get a computer. No luck, oh well. Anyhow fast forward a few years and I remembered my friend telling me about a sequal or something called starcraft with aliens and something about how there were portals and each portal was a planet or something (we were 9 or 10 ok). This stuck in my head alot, I think, because of how much I envied him. Years later I looked up starcraft and we finally got it a computer and I made my parents buy the battle chest for me for my birthday. I played alot of it but I never played competativly at all, or even laddered... I ended up playing UMS games for something like 6 years on and off.

I found starcraft when playing random games in a computer lab with a friend, saw him playing against computers and then he set me up with the game. I started playing the SP campaign (cheating all the way of course)
Then i actually bought the battle chest, and started to play online. I found Star Cannon Defence, and never dropped it until I preordered SC2. Now i play SC2 nonstop, mostly 1v1, 4v4, SotIS and Tug games (Desert Strike, Nexus Wars)
PS. Now trying to hijack, just saying how i discovered SC. kinda like what you did
