HAHA Idra is godly. At least his BM is coherent and thouroughly entertaining. PMing "No gg?" imo, is worse than bming in response to it.
I like idra. I enjoy watching his games. I like watching his interviews and listening to SotG when he's on. Overall, I enjoy his insight on starcraft. I would like him to straighten himself out with the BM, but he isn't going to do that unless he sees a reason to. He has a team that loves him, he still makes friends with other players, and he has a fan base. If he actually saw this behavior as overall harmful, he'd probably stop (that at least would be the smart thing to do). Heck, people love him for his BM. It's part of his image.

That comparison isn't fair... Huk is Canadian. They start their robberies with "hello, gl hf."

what i'd like to know is if you guys are respecting him out of his play or only because he's supposedly the best American sc pro? (subjective obviously)
not trying to troll or anything, but honestly idra's skill level isn't so impressive that you'd overlook his immaturity (or w/e people think it is) and shower him with respect. ever since he played sc1 till even now in sc2, he's hardly shown us anything to command such high respect....well in my opinion that is.
i mean, a lot of people surprisingly hate flash, despite him being one of the nicest people and indisputably one of the most dominant sc players of all time, just because he keeps winning, beating other people's fav players, having a rather non-flashy but extremely stable, solid style, etc. if flash were to behave like idra, the hate level would be so high. yet at least flash has the skill to back it up.
idra is a scrub compared to flash when it comes to skill. no i'm not exaggerating and i'm sure even all you idra fans know it inside your heart. yet the fact that idra gets so much respect even despite his non-impressive play suggests the only reason why idra gets respect is because he is an American progamer who still does better than other American pros at sc. in fact, the only special thing about him is not his play, but the fact that he is an American who can play sc "relatively" well.
imagine MC with all his extremely overconfident attitude and trashtalk without his skill to back it up. well that's exactly idra right there except his trashtalk is much worse. and no i'm not saying having some nationalistic pride is bad here. in fact, i don't mind at all.
it's just that when people say they have much respect for idra, i'm just curious what they are referring to. surely not his play since there are so many players who are much better than idra. maybe not as much in sc2 right now but at least in sc1, definitely.
1. he plays zerg
2. hes from the US, and generally smart
3. hes interesting, unlike white-bread koreans. Ok NesTea, you win GSL. See you next month I guess?
4. streams regardless of annoying people in chats
5. doesn't care what other people think about his opinions or strategies
6. trolls people on TL for being uppity.
1. Awesome. 33% of people play Zerg. Even foreigners.
2. No comments.
3. All foreigners are interesting. Even many Koreans.
4. Like anyone?
5. That's why he is so stupid. He does not appreciate what other people say to him, even those with much experience or are much better players than him.
6. Yeah dude, he's a baller, he Owns people ... * Sigh *
Great reasons.
That's why opinions are great huh? I couldn't care less about you disagreeing with mine, he asked for some reasons why people might like Idra, and i replied ^^

Can someone explain this I'm really curious
are you... you are serious. i would have bet money that this was a troll given that the video has been posted at least 3 times previously in this thread, along with painstaking explanations of the reference, the lyrics(, awesome new lyrics), why the reference is funny in this specific instance, why some people don't think it's funny... in fact, the 16 pages between OP and here are pretty well devoted to explaining and discussing this. i haven't been here that long, but i get the concept of "forum".

Why am i getting into trouble for writting something that is true and it answers the first guys question?
it's plain to see that you meant that as an insult without anything constructive to back it up. against a TL veteran that is a nono
Have you even read what this thread is about? Its exactly about what you just suggested i was doing except by someone who does it 100 times worse and for 100 times less reason.
