This is who should advance from each group in order from most likely to least likely (the number after their names is their overall skill rank of all participants in the GSL): Group A: (played on Dec 14th) (Z)LiquidRet 37 (T)aLivefOu 38 (T)DAVIT 43 Ace 45 ------------------------------- (P)FreeSaGa 54 Gilja (sync) 117 (T)MaruPrime 130 Group B: (played on Dec 15th) (Z)NewDawn 28 (T)sCfOu 33 (P)Keeping 46 (Z)Terious 51 ------------------------ (T)ParkJongHyuk 53 (T)justfake 55 (T)LittleBoy/oGsggOma 57 Group C: (played on Dec 16th) (Z)Monster 27 (Z)Golden 49 (Z)PhoeNix 60 (Z)FOXMoon 62 ------------------------------- (T)AugustWeRRa 63 (P)Pippijung 65 (T)NEXTaeja 68 From this I can gather: Ret is very likely to advance. Group B is probably the hardest group. Moon is right on the cusp, and after Monster and golden, it is anyone's guess as to who is gonna make it in. One flaw in this statistical analysis is that while it does give some preference to players who are more recent (by connecting everyone), I do not think it does enough. A Ro64 player in GSL3 is far better than a Ro64 player in GSL1, in my opinion.

I'm curious about this as well. Technically it is possible for every player to go 3-3 which would mean the group round was a total waste of time. Most likely though there will ever only be two people tied at most but if there are three or more things get interesting.

I have a hard time believing that ret won't get #1 in his group though, let alone top 4. Also, when was it announced that there are only 32 class-A players? I always thought the plan was to have 64 class-A.
