Here's a fun quiz I devised. It is intended to rate your knowledge of a superior of yours, typically a teacher, a professor, or a boss at work. From now on, this person (teacher, prof, boss) will be referred as "he", although it does not have any implication of gender.
Each question can be answered in yes or no. Answering "yes" gives you one mark, answering "no" gives you zero marks. Record your marks, then click on the spoiler below to have your knowledge rated.
1. Do you know where he went for university? 2. Do you know whether or not he has any siblings? 3. Do you know what kind of grades he was getting in in university or in highschool (assuming your boss at least went to highschool)? 4. Do you know whether or not he has a significant other? 5. Do you know his favourite drink? 6. Do you know what he does on his free time?
Now, tally your points (remember, 1 mark for each "yes" answer), and click on the spoiler...
+ Show Spoiler +If your mark = 3, 4, 5, or 6: + Show Spoiler +You know so much about him that it's creepy. If your mark = 0, 1, 2: + Show Spoiler +You probably have a normal relationship with him. Good job.

0 for all of my professors .

I don't think I've even met any of them ^^

4 for my boss (uni, significant other, drink, siblings) there are only like 4 people at my workplace on normal days, i don't think it's creepy at all.

3.5 for one of my teachers I had. I think knowing that much about your boss is kind of normal. I work in a small store so I talk to him fairly often about a lot of stuff because we have similar interests. I got a 3.5-5 for my boss. Some of things I am not 100% sure on.

I have a 6. He's my PhD advisor/boss/mentor, so we kind of hang out a lot...
By the way, I hardly think I high score is "creepy" like you've said. Many undergrad students get close to professors so that they have a strong relationship as they aim to move into their professional lives. Smaller schools promote this a lot, and I was glad that I got to experience that when I was an undergrad. Grad students of course get really close with their profs most of the time. I'm on a first name basis with the whole department and know all about all the profs there, it's normal, not "creepy"

If you're part of a school with smaller classes sizes like mine where theres only ~20 students per course, its not irregular to socialize and get to know your professors. Maybe it's because I'm an art student and artists are typically more outgoing- who knows.
One of my favorite professors over the last year invited all the students to join him at a local bar for happy hour and sushi after finals, and I have him on facebook and whatnot. I can score a 5 for him- only reason I can't get a 6 is because he drinks too many things to really name a favorite, I bet.

3~5 for most of my teachers.
Only because they are cool people, and I spend a lot of time talking with them

You get a 1/5 for writing "he" in every question.
"From now on, this person (teacher, prof, boss) will be referred as "he", although it does not have any implication of gender."
Yes - i saw it, but it's an archaic way of formulating yourself. You're not only the authority figure should be a man, but that to relate to this patriarch on a human level is "creepy". Tell me, does he have a white beard and sit on a cloud?
TLDR: "Your boss is a man and should be revered, hanging out with him makes you creepy in my eyes."
+ Show Spoiler +Ok, so i'm just messing with you - but if your Social Sciences professor had been a bit more personal you might not have made this poll :> It's kind of like you secretly want that which you depict as creepy, like if the poll was "do you have a best friend of the same gender" and the questions were "have the two of you ever said "i love you"?" "do you hug when you greet each other?" etc and the spoiler is "0-2 normal relationship" "3-6 you're probably gay"." Poor polling yo!

I think most professors make it obvious about whether they're married and often if they have kids. Beyond that there isn't much said during a normal lecture.

I think my students may know all of the answers about me except for #5 because I can't talk about alcohol with them lol.

most of my cool/good college profesors told the class if they were married if they had children, what they like to drink, and where they went (college, highschool) and where they are from. I believe it depends where you study and what year you are in. Where I am from good teachers talk about their experiences and how those experiences formed them as a person and a professional. Some people even go dining with their teachers i think its cultural and it depends on the subject the teacher teaches.

I know her inside and out i kid
I know 4 for my psyc teacher! but she kind of broadcasts it to the class to intertwine with the lecture content

3 for my "guardian" prof that I worked for during a summer, he got me into my current major. 2 for my thesis prof. 0-2 for the rest of the profs I can think of...
