I have troubles going to bed at night. Right now we have some ridiculous 20 degrees minus here in Sweden so my apartment is cold as fuck as it is. But also the fact that, whenever i get a new idea for a song, i just need to go up and turn the computer back on again to print it down. Since i cant fall asleep due to the temperature alot of ideas have had time circulating the last days. I guess it is good for my productivity atleast.
If nothing else it has skyrocketed my knowledge of ableton live
Everything is set, i have the tools i need and im determined to get somewhere with this now. I made a little piece to honor the moment.
It can be streamed at http://soundcloud.com/kristofferelmqvist/not-if-but-when
listen if you want /K

Not too shabby. I checked out your profile, I am liking "Come Home" a decent amount actually...not bad at all. I subscribed! (edit: technically it's "followed" but w.e)

cheers buddy, im working on a reconstruction of that song, because it was the last one i made in logic before i moved over to ableton live. But it might turn out to be some kind of a remix because im not sure if i want to dig it up again.

Yeah I'd like to hear that actually. If you recreate it (make it a little more professional sounding I suppose) I might consider throwing it into one of my sets if you don't mind sharing the file (I am rt24 on soundcloud).

Yeah aslong as you dont spread it, not that i think you would, but all future house and trance productions are made with intention of professional release

Let your computer overheat. ^^

Heh okay, whatever you are comfortable with. Again nice stuff, keep making 'em.

Now, that's some awesome stuff to listen to nearly at 4 am. This one and 'Come Home' being the ones I enjoy the most. I enjoy listening to this kind of music when I play SC2, as it's nicely contrasting with the fast-paced game and all that...
Awesome stuff, man :D

Very well done. Now make it thickier and this will become pro level song
Cold is great for sleeping, in the winter we get 0ºC to 15ºC where I live, so going to bed and lay down under 5 layers of blankets felt great.
But its summer here... try to sleep with 30ºC :/
Winter: good do sleep, bad to wake up. Summer? bad to sleep, good to wake up.

None of the songs or snippets on the page is professionally mastered. None of it is entirelly ready for that yet, and the older songs at the bottom will stay... old.
Blankets? Noted, got atleast 2 lying around. But still here i am, its 5 am and i havent gone to bed yet...

Sounds like the story of my life, except with StarCraft and school work rather than writing/making music. I lay in bed thinking of different builds or often upcoming tests, and eventually my mind reasons that sleeping is a waste of time and that I should be practising/studying.

really like it. gonna check out your other stuff too :D
and i can actually sleep fairly well in the winter despite the cold. in summer i have trouble sleeping though
