If it ran smoothly in single player, there's no reason that it should run bad in multiplayer, unless your connection blows.

What I didn't really like however was the sound of the game. Was it just me, or did the sound quality in this game sound terrible? I don't own MW2, but as a person who played a lot of Bad Company 2 and the MOH Beta, the sounds of those two games felt more crisp than this. Edit: Also was probably the most graphic action FPS I've seen so far. Limbs seem to blow up for no reason. Not really any complaints about that though. lol.

Maps are pretty decent except nuke town sucks to me. Where the black truck is located i would prefer it extend into a larger neighborhood with maybe 2-4 more houses on the map. Very gay i dislike that map. I love how all the maps have lots of areas to hide thoughout and lots of open area like HANOI. Guns atm are pretty fun but i mainly been using some tier 1 guns to do my ownage equipped in different combinations of extendd mags, silencers and sniping can get fun as well. Knifing has to be off to me in some sort of way i'm mainly thinking because of the lag. I have about 70-90 team deathmatch games and i would say more than half of those games lagged. Not to bad of a game imo once patched up and not lagging! Oh and the rc-car it just a sub for the predator missle. P.S. Oh and i have 7-8 playing hours but i have somewhere around 8-10 hours sitting behind the tv trying to either get a game going or back to back games keep disconnecting, or even trying to merge in with another lobby without it lagging hardcore and kicking at least one friend, or your ps3 freezing..ITS IRRITATING!

I never really played the other games, but I was a big MW2 fan and played it a ton, so that's where I come from. After playing it for a few hours yesterday, here's my opinions: The game certainly feels a lot more balanced and skillbased. During my time playing yesterday, I didn't see a single n00btube and I was only sniped once and it was not a quickscope. While I miss Commando (the perk I had equipped 90% of the time in MW2) I like that it has been removed since the knife is still useful, it just takes more skill to use and is way more situational. The new levelup system where you both unlock by level and with cash is very nice since I can focus on what I actually want and could get a red dot for my assault rifle as soon as I unlocked class creation, awesome. The new killstreaks and killstreak system I like as well, though I haven't been able to use too much of it yet. The killstreaks definitely feel very nerfed (I got a single kill with my attack helicopter, come on.. it felt like it was up for 5 seconds) but it's nice that you're not killed by killstreaks constantly, it's awesome that they are harder to get since you feel like such a badass getting the good ones. I haven't been able to play many matches yet so I've only tried a few of the levels but I like them so far (summit is very annoying though, I will possibly learn to hate it eventually). I feel it's a bit laggy compared to MW2, like there's a small delay when shooting, but maybe I've just had bad luck with the servers. As for singleplayer, I didn't get very far, but it has been good so far. Overall, I definitely doubt I'll be going back to MW2 again but will see if this has the same staying power.

All in all a pretty fun game for pubbing, have a decent enough feeling it'll be pretty dull for competitive play at least if it goes down the cod4 road of 2 guns + sniper being used... so so boring, bring back the bolt action rifles* I say, although they'd probably suck given the never games ease of killing/dying. At least have side locked guns, to give a bit of a varied flavor to things. Yes it's time for some ww2 again, mw getting preeeetty old as well as just more dull to begin with since every recent gun is at least semi automatic, aside from sniper rifles, for obvious reasons, makes it so monotonous :/

Demolition on Havana is also a bit silly, since defense spawns in a little corner with pretty much only one area to walk through which makes it easy to get spawn camped into oblivion and sadly the best fix would probably be modifying the map (added a tunnel/walkway to increase the directions you can go out of spawn) which is super unlikely. Offense seems to spawn in a fairly spawn trap friendly area too, but I didn't give the game a chance to let me experience that joy. Spawning in Firing Range has also gotten a bit silly a few times in multiple game modes. Many other maps are fine, though, likely because they're large enough that it isn't as noticeable. Really don't want to spend several more months playing on maps that had the spawning points of the TDM version of Sub Base. So far it seems that every AR is really good. A few SMGs are good and a few aren't that great. LMGs are mixed between decent and great. Shotguns are terrible. Most of the snipers are terrible. I unlocked the last one and promptly put it away after a single game. Could not hit the broadside of a barn, even if it was a straight shot in the distance on a non-moving target. The L96 is at least useable. The game is decent, but I've considered putting COD4 back in to finish the campaign as it'll likely be more enjoyable than SP or MP Black Ops... which is kinda sad. It just doesn't seem to have that X factor for me.

How do they manage to come up with new content that keeps their fans coming back for more? I was under the impression that the game is heavily recycled.

I was under the impression that the game is heavily recycled. Instead of thinking of it as several games in a series, think of them as several games in a genre. Sure, they have the same names and they are the same kind of games, but there's quite a lot of difference between the games. We have the basic system of CoD which is really fun in MP, WAY more fun than Halo ever was. Then we have these newer additions where you can create classes, perks etc. It doesn't matter that it's "7 games in a series", it matters that you always want to play CoD, the newer games are more like massive patches/expansions. Just like wow, it's just one game but there's many expansions and it has changed so much, you don't get tired of it. The same could be true for other games such as Counterstrike etc, but hey simply don't update or release new ones enough to keep it going.

Instead of what the poster above me said, pretend CoD is BW, but they keep on coming up with a new campaign, and reskinning/renaming certain units. And then throw in some UMS, and you got a brand new game.
