EPTI am a 16 y old Australian (ACT) who is going into college next year. (college is Y11/12 in the ACT)
I have have been playing SC since I was about 9-10 when a friend showed it to me on his ancient mac.
Since then I have enjoyed playing the game, offline. Only this year have I been able to play Brood War in a abandonded battle.net (ICCup has problems for me
)Before I got into SCBW multiplayer I made and played custom maps for WC3. I doubt anyone here knows about the map "Parasite", but I joined that community for 1 and a half years, upon which it died.
I then left WC3 for HoN, which I now play with my friends from school, along with the occassional game of SCBW on bnet/garena.
I confess I am adicted to SC2/TL without having played it that much online. I have watched many GSL vids, subscribe to SotG and occassionally watch SEA streams. I also find the TL.net community extremely awesome, compared to places such as the HoN community and the Wc3 mapping scene (Lots of quailty people with a lack of spammers)
Finally, (and this is somewhat the reason I made this blog) I am planning to build a computer for christmas on a budget of about $300-$600 as I currently have a laptop that cannot even run HoN properly.
Therefore I would like advice from the TL community about what the best way to go around assembling/getting parts for a computer.
