This format guarantees everyone at least 5 games (assuming 6 men in your group some groups will have 7 players) The main changes people may notice from last time (and were all suggestions people made after last lan that I'm trying to implement) disconnect procedure in place. A bracket stage of 24 and tiebreaker accommodation. Ties will only need to be broken for first place in a group and 3rd place. 2nd and 3rd place will make no difference in terms of bracket seeding. Groups will be generated tomorrow most likely. I will continue to take signups via email (I don't REALLY expect all 51 pre registered to show up but last time we had quite impressive attendance so I'm not going to bank on too many to not show)

and added Jungle Basin. I don't know the popular opinion on Shakuras but it seems ok. I just don't like to include all the maps so people can practice a bit instead of "everything"

I dunno, its my opinion that all ladder maps should be in the pool. If a terran can pick lost temple against me in brackets then I should be able to pick whatever I want against him. Exempting a map because its not "popular" doesn't really make sense to me. Popular is subjective, and just because it's underplayed doesn't mean it should be impossible to be played. For the record scrap station is my favorite map choice I do have bias in this argument but bias or not, i just don't think removing it from the map pool is justifiable. If you want to remove maps so that people dont have to practice "everything" then it should just be basin/shakuras because they are new and not many people have extended experience on them. Even then, I'd rather not remove any maps, but if you're going to remove some, I'd rather it be those. Your choice though, I guess.

"Juicy fruit.. the tase, the tase, the taste! is gunna moooooooovvvee YA!!" + Show Spoiler +

I'll search for myself, luckyfool.490 and it says there's no result returned.... like what is that... X_X Trying to verify these are fairly balanced groups and it's making things difficult. Everything looks alright to me though for the most part. The 8 ~2k points people are seeded into separate groups everything else was random. I thought I had 50 players but apparently I have 48. 8 groups of 6 players each with half moving onto the bracket stage. this is fine though anyone that signs up from here or walks on will just replace a no show. Last time we had quite good attendance though and alot of these names are familiar so I'm expecting another great event next weekend!

By inputting my ID with the number 0 instead of 906 I was able to see my statistics. If that doesn't work, then I have no idea.

Honestly, I'm with Nokarot on this one. I feel like it should just be the ladder map pool.

I made 1 post arguing my point (after my initial post, asking simply because I thought it was overlooked), Corrupt made 1 post agreeing with me. Don't get so angry :/ Rob asked for critique over the rules, after all. On November 06 2010 03:39 LuckyFool wrote: Rules and map pool is posted in the OP lemme know if you guys see anything really stupid or have suggestions please contact me. And since he asked for critique, I'd like to point out that just about every zerg who loses a [streamed] match this weekend at MLG Dallas has picked Scrap Station as their follow-up map choice. As Corrupt said, I'm not comfortable with the idea of someone getting to pick Steppes of War (or Lost Temple vs Terran) as a zerg player if I don't get to pick Scrap Station. Makes no sense, whether you personally like the map or not. "Being the least popular map" in the last LAN isn't justifiable reasoning, especially since there weren't many zergs in 1.1.
