Q: Thoughts on advancing?
A: When I saw the group list, I was confident I would advance, so I don't feel anything special right now. I haven't played a game in a LAN center for a while now, but in the future I hope I never will.
Q: Which was your most difficult match?
A: Yesterday, I stayed up late playing cellphone minigames, so I only got 5 hours of sleep, and today's games were pretty boring. Aside from this, there wasn't any difficulty.
Q: Did your games go smoothly?
A: The maps were those where races that were strong on previous maps could also play well. It was very smooth today.
Q: To participate in IEF, you'll have to travel abroad.
A: Including the amateurs, we have 5 Koreans going. I hope at least I can make the finals. I originally thought it was just me going, but I later discovered that Bisu will be participating as well. I hope I meet him in the finals. If the Koreans don't win the finals, it'll be very shameful.
Q: Recently, your SPL performance hasn't been too good.
A: I've been watching many players from other teams doing well in SPL, so I'm worried about whether or not I can catch up to them. But the individual leagues are starting now, so I hope I can do well in those. I also want to see our team take it to the next level in SPL.
Q: Anything else?
A: I hope that teammates of mine who are playing in the afternoon prelims or tomorrow's OSL prelims will do well. I won't be able to see them in person in China, but I'll cheer them on from afar.
Juni
Q: Thoughts on making it into the MSL?
A: I feel blessed. Right now, I feel more excited than when I debuted. A few months ago, I wrote my goal in my diary, and in order to make that goal a reality I had to succeed in the prelims. The goal itself is a secret.
Q: The first game was tough from the get-go.
A: The first game, I recognized my opponent. He was my practice partner when I had to play against Jaedong. I ended up in a tight situation, but my enemy got anxious, so I won.
Q: How does it feel to play in the morning?
A: Getting up early is tiring. I usually wake up at 11 AM, but today I got out of bed especially early. Even though I was a bit uncomfortable, in the morning group everyone had to face that. Now that I'm out of the prelims, I don't feel tired either.
Q: Goal?
A: Twice, I've lost in the most important games, so this game I want to win an unconditional victory and get into the MSL to participate in the group selection ceremony.
Q: Anything else?
A: On the 31st, my younger sister will be taking an exam; she's a 3rd year at [T/N 安阳女] High School. We're really going through the same type of pressure. I hope she is careful and does well on her test.

Q: How do you feel?
A: I went in with the mindset of having already earned the right to advance. Now that I have in fact advanced, I hope that the other progamers give it their all too. Right now, I feel leisurely, having fought my way out of the prelims. [T/N wow I already need a check on this.. bad sign]
Q: Is the MSL in a place like your birthplace?
A: Yep. But I've never passed the Ro32, so that's not so great. I hope I can get further this time.
Q: This is your first time playing in an individual league following the merging of Hite entus.
A: It feels different. The team is different, so I feel like I have to prove my sense of duty for the new team all over again.
Q: How is the atmosphere in the team?
A: Excellent. CJ and Hite's players have excellent relations. We're always lively and noisy in the practice house. The atmosphere is really quite good.
Q: Were there any troublesome games?
A: When I was 1:1 in the finals of my group, it was pretty tough. But in game 3, I had some good luck, so I managed to win. My opponent seemed to be hurried, so I took the victory.
Q: Tourney goal?
A: For starters, getting into the Ro32. But I'm also a Hite entus player, so I aspire to get to the Ro16 or above.
Q: Anything else?
A: I hope my teammates can advance too.
PerfectMan
Q: How do you feel?
A: Because yesterday there was SPL, I didn't even have time to practice for today's individual league games. But the maps were standard before, so I was confidence. My mindset was good.
Q: This is your first time escaping the prelims.
A: I'm still neutral on it. I hope that I can get through more rounds and reach the group selection stage.
Q: Which game was hardest?
A: After my first match, it was an hour until my opponent was decided. So when I had to face GoRush, I wasn't warmed up. I was uneasy, but it's good that I played well in games 2 and 3.
Q: It seems that Hwaseung's Protoss is doing well.
A: After Coach Ju (Side) arrived, I started playing much better. He's excellent with strategy, and he's considerate of practice partners and A-teamers alike. So our P success is due in large part to him.
Q: On the other hand, T is doing worse.
A: We're working hard. Right now, it's just Round 1, so our team will start doing well very soon as long as we end our losing streak.
Q: Are you confident for tomorrow's OSL prelims?
A: I'm going to go home to practice soon. If my confidence is good, my practice will be good, and I'm feeling pretty solid right now.
Q: Anything else?
A: Our team is 1-3 in SPL, which isn't too great. After we lost to Wemade, our team has taken a step forward. I hope everyone cheers us on!
Hyvaa
Q: How does it feel to fight your way out of the prelims?
A: I had lost the SPL game right before the MSL prelims, so my confidence was shaken. This is my first interview after being transferred to STX, but it's in a MSL prelim, so I'm sorry to my team. I'm a little anxious, having not had a winner interview in a long time.
Q: What's changed since your arrival at STX?
A: The environment is better. Each race has its own coach, which is highly efficient. We just have to focus on playing SC and give it our all in practice.
Q: Your opponent in the finals of your group was FBH. Which game of that match was the hardest?
A: Once I saw the groups, I felt like I would face FBH. FBH beat Light not so long ago. He's a pretty strong player, and getting his kind of success despite entering a coaching position is tough. I don't see him as ACE's FBH; I just see him as FBH, and I practiced and played that way. It ended well.
Q: You want to do well in the individual league, I suppose.
A: It was the same way in the prelims too, but I feel like I've really declined a lot. Skill is really the primary thing in being successful. After I got to STX and their excellent practice environment, I'll definitely perform better. I'll play well, not just in the individual leagues but the Proleague as well.
Q: Anything else?
A: I didn't know if my 2nd game with FBH was broadcasted or not. I didn't intend to beat him in such early game strategies [T/N unsure]. I lost the first game messily, so in the second game I wanted to dominate. Thus I used a quick strategy. I didn't want to humiliate FBH. I ended up apologizing to him, and I hope he doesn't think too much of our game. I also want to thank STX who drafted me as well as the STX coaches. Recently, my wrist has been sore, and the coaches have been paying close attention to that. I thank them for caring. Our team's players were excellent in practice, but the previous players from STX haven't done so well, so I hope that the rest of our players will succeed. STX fighting!
Frozen
Q: Your thoughts on entering the MSL?
A: From the start, I pretty much hadn't made it out of the MSL prelims. I was always the prelim angel. Once I came to STX, I made it out of the prelims on my first try. Our team has a lot of people in the MSL, so I hope to cooperate with everyone.
Q: Were there many people practicing for MSL?
A: Yes, and so I helped my teammates practice nonstop. But at the same time I reaped the benefits of playing a lot. So I was able to exercise my movement in practice [T/N ?]
Q: Your eyes seem pretty congested.
A: The last game was very disadvantageous. Once I realized my opponent could be Yellow, I practiced TvZ a lot. But Dear ended up advancing as my opponent. After I lost the first game, I redoubled my focus, and I didn't even dare blink. So right now my eyes are incredibly tired.
Q: You didn't end up playing Yellow.
A: I don't know when I'll get to play him. I really want to play a game with one of the old guard. It's regrettable that Yellow failed to get to the group finals and play me in the end. But my teammates told me that whether I won or lost versus Yellow, it would be bad, so I guess it's better this way.
Q: You seem to have some sort of fate regarding MSL.
A: To begin, I really want to get to the group selection stage and see other players play. The players aren't allowed to view the group selection ceremony, so this time I really want to see it. The group selection ceremony competitions are even more exotic, so that makes me want to see the famous progamers' personalities at that time. Using pressure to make jokes is fun, and it helps expand friend groups. So I'll definitely go to the group selection ceremony and have a share of the fun.
Q: What would you perform there?
A: Rock once called me "Talkative Dong Kun" (Frozen's name is Kim Dong Kun), and the team has already started calling me that too. I'm hurt by that nickname, so if I go to the group selection ceremony I'll be low-key.
Leta
Q: Your thoughts on entering the MSL?
A: Last time, I was knocked out in the prelims by Sky, so I have a grudge against the prelims. Today's game was also hard, so I'm glad to advance. Recently, I've been losing unacceptably, so today's prelims were a good opportunity to get myself together.
Q: Which game was most difficult today?
A: I practiced TvT with 김태영 [T/N who?]. He played really well, surprising me. But I slowly shouldered it [T/N unsure], so I ended up mostly winning.
Q: Today, 6 Hite members advanced, the most of any team.
A: The team's mood is outstanding. After our merge, the multiplier effect didn't show itself for a bit. If our team starts playing well, we will be very fearsome. I must work a bit harder to do well; playing this noobishly is something I must apologize to my team for. Since we got the most people past the prelims today, I hope we can start doing better in SPL too.
Q: Do you have ambition for the individual leagues?
A: I strive for success, but it's regrettable that up to now I haven't had a brilliant performance in the individual leagues. Even if the fans also feel this way, I think I can do well in the individual league this time.
Q: Goal for this MSL?
A: I'll start off by getting to the Ro8. If I get to the Ro8, it'll be a new beginning for me.
Q: Who do you least want to face in the group stages?
A: I especially don't want to meet the prelim king Canata. In the MST, he always performs strangely well, so I hope to dodge him.
Q: Anything else?
A: I was actually not too confident on whether I could advance. But being able to advance has restored my confidence. I've kept my aspirations toward greater heights in the MSL alive. I hope everyone keeps supporting me.
Lomo
Q: Thoughts on entering the MSL?
A: It's very different than what I thought it would be. The prelim system has become much better. I had a good group placement. There were less people, so the probability of advancing rose. But the games were still tough (haha). I've had a long absence from the MSL, so this time I will do well.
Q: Has the pressure decreased in light of the fewer players?
A: Yes. I didn't think this way at the start. I originally just saw it as more relaxed. Mong beat Brave, so since the group finals was a TvT, I was confident. [T/N the KR->CN translator actually wildly mistranslated this as Lomo's teammate Brave beating Mong]
Q: You haven't been in an MSL since the Clubday MSL. [T/N which was the previous holder of "worst MSL name award," iirc
A: I kept losing at the prelims, which is really regrettable. This time, in order to get into the MSL, I prepared extensively.
Q: Recently, Hwaseung's T has been looking weak.
A: Hiya and I are practicing like maniacs. Today, because of the games, I've hardly practiced at all. I wanted to do well in SPL, but the weird thing is that I've always failed to have my wish fulfilled. If two players lose together, as they age they will get worse. I understand how it feels to be last season's "Hwaseung P." (haha) It's not a problem, though. Once I break out of my win streak, it'll be all good.
Q: It seems that you didn't practice much for the prelims?
A: Yesterday, I had SPL. After SPL ended, I concentrated on practice for a while.
Q: Anything else?
A: I hope that our team's members who have been eliminated can pull themselves together and that those who haven't played yet do well. I'll work hard to show everyone a new Hwaseung T.
