Hello everybody! I'm proud to announce that my second Melee map for Star Craft 2 has been released, and is currently uploaded on the North American Battle.net server!
The map name is Tarnosis Isle.
The playable map size is 140x164
This is a fast paced 1v1 map, with an easy natural to capture and defend. Two Xel' Naga towers show the players the middle of the map, but not the Gold Expands that are there as well.
And as everybody loves..... Pictures! (You may have to right click the photos, click 'copy image location', then paste that into your web browser, if the photo is being cut off.)

Looking interesting with the new XNT positionment, and the gold bases are certainly placed in contested terrain. I'd be interested to have this on the EU servers, I can upload it for you if need be.
I think a few map analyzers shots would be nice to have in the thread, even though the map looks fairly open in general.
About the map itself, are you going to continue working on the textures and esthetics in general ? Those green trees look out of place, and the map has a monochrome feeling. Also, is there a reason why you chose to have a narrow ramp for the third ?

Ya know, it never did click in that the Third Expand ramp was a narrow one. I smell a Version 1.1 coming soon... possibly tonight.

Zip, I'm no longer working on the textures. I know that the palm trees down below look like they belong in a different theme, but that was my point. To make it seem nice on the beach, but when you go up the cliff, it's pure death.

Haha, when I first saw the thread, I thought it said Tastetosis isle,
But it does look like a very macro heavy, high aggression map, especially with two easy accessible entrances, one being blocked by rocks to stop the VERY early aggression, Nat looks very hard to defend, I'm not sure how it will be easy, as it if far from the ramp compared to other maps, so Zerg players and Protoss players relying on forcefields will both have a troublesome time holding that to a very mobile army, who will in turn just swing around and attack from the guarded entrance.
Looks like a fun, high Micro and Fast paced map just like you wanted, well done!

Glad to hear it! I don't mind backdoors in 1v1 maps, but I know about 99.9% of people do, so I ended up shooting for something that did indeed benefit the defender more. I like to think I succeeded.

Thanks guys. Yeah, Custom content keeps the games fresh. I helped do the same for UT2k4 (which is probably why i played it for 5 years straight)

Any tips to upload it to battlenet EU?
I opened editor and try to publish it but i can't.Also i guess i UL it locked?
As well editor says textures are on medium, should i get it to max?SC2 runs on medium on my PC i guess.
Well if anyone is used to UL maps you can do it for me.It is a really nice map i want it on Bnet EU :p

I feel that this map is great for a longer macro game. The 3rd and 4th are reasonably easy to take, because you only to defend the 4th ramp since ull have enough map control to forget the 3rd ramp. Can you siege the high yield from the natural, it feels like you can? The HY is gonna be harder to take than the 3rd and 4th, because if your opponent secured the high ground, he can push into the high yield time after time. I really like this map, keep it up!
