I really hope we see more foreigners go further in future GSLs. I'd hate to see SC2 become the one-sided Korea fest that BW always was.

Ive read something like it having 3 GSL seasons, and then doing the GSL finals or something. So basically the 3 seasons are for the players to gain "points?" for a place at the final season. Is that right?

If I understand correctly, this and the next two 'GSL's' are just simply 'pre-season' tournaments in preparation for the full season in 2011 with all events proper. At the end of the year there will be some sort of competition I guess including all the best performing players of these three GSL pre-season tournaments.

Not to go into the BW vs SC2 thing, but I hope the GSL catches up (not sure if 3500 is a lot of people) and SC2 has a bright future. Some of the games in this GSL were awesome and I'm really pumped for the next season.

That's a big first leap, and how epic this tourny was I can only imagine that would double next season. This is great, and GomTV is really paving the way for Starcraft II. When I was watching the Ro32 and Ro16, I remember only seeing like 50 people max and I was just grimacing at how small this seemed. Then I see that there were 3500+ at the finals? This is great. Yeah, it's no 2005 100K people, but it's still 3.5k people and it's a great first step.

Upon completion of this GSL, I know that 20 bucks is well worth it, even with the lower quality streams.
