Stop judging people please. Btw, wanted the zerg to win this one since they're all whining at shit. At least you got something to be proud now UNDERDAWGZZZZZ ^_^
I hate being the one breaking it to you, but buddy, there's not bank.

according to the interview, cool only told his parents about gsl after he got through to the final.
so.. can't blame the parents for not showing up earlier..
and i am bewildered by all these people who expressed unhappiness that cool wants/needs to give the paycheck to his parents. do you guys come from a society where filial piety is dead and that parents are burdens?
anw very happy for cool =) he might not realize it but it is likely that he will be remembered as the one who marked the beginning of the new era as the first big winner of an SC2 tournament. That is only if SC2 grow like its predecessor. The future seems bright though

Zergs should start to step up their game i hope Cool inspires more to play zerg! go Cool!

Top 16/8/4/2/1 arent seeded thru to the next Ro64? That seems a bit ridiculous.... Would be such a gaybar if fruit didnt qualify for the next GSL :\
From the official rules: After all three tournaments, the top 32 will become "Code S" players. - 33rd-96th will become "Code A" players. - Code S players and Code A players earn the right to participate in the GSL 2011. - If a Code S player drops out before GSL 2011 starts, the top Code A player will fill the spot etc.
That means that the first three GSL seasons this year are just preliminaries to the real thing that will be coming next year, and that these preliminary seasons will be used to determine who will be able to participate in the real thing.
Everyone in the top 10 of GSL 1 is guaranteed a spot in GSL 2011 and have been designated Code S players, same thing goes for GSL 2 and GSL 3. Everyone in the top 32 of GSL 1 has been designated Code A players, these players are the first choice replacements if Code S players don't show up, same thing goes for GSL 2 and GSL 3.
Since FruitDealer is already a Code S player he would only be denying another player a spot for GSL 2011, thus it would seem fair to make him have to go through qualifiers.

I dunno just think Cool should of kept like half the money for himself. I have this sentiment too, but how do you know he's giving all of the money to his parents? I'm pretty sure he doesn't say so in the interview. It's an Asian country, you can bet he does.
I don't get why it's so hard to understand someone would give their prize money to their parents. Think about all the expenses your parents paid for you: free housing, free food, clothes, schooling, medical bills, entertainment. Then add in whatever you think is fair for, you know, giving you your life.
Is 80k really that much? And by the way, that's a lot of assumptions you made there, based solely on the fact that he's asian.

congrats cool!!!, I just hope zerg's wont get a nerf next patch because of the win! >_<

If you think it only takes 80k to raise a kid then lol. A quick google search put the cost of a child for a $40-$70k income family at $180k

It doesn't cost anything close to that in Korea.

What an absurd thought process. Sure I'm grateful for everything my parents did for me, but am I about to start giving them most of my salary? Unless they really need it, absolutely not. Most parents (hopefully) have kids because they want the joy and satisfaction that raising kids can have... they shouldn't expect kids to reimburse their own fucking expenses from when they could hardly walk.

I agree, Zerg still needs more diversity.
GL Cool, I hope to see you in GSL 2.
Hopefully, Idra will stop complaining since a Zerg player won the GSL league.

maddddddd props to Cool. I really hope to see more play from him at this high of a level in the future. 130% indeed! Looked like he knew exactly what to do regardless of scouting.

Not that far. This isn't SE Asia.
Hopefully he doesn't live in Seoul, one of the most expensive cities in the world.

That's not what I heard from the award ceremony. The korean commentator asked him if he will give the money to his parents and he said he doesn't know.
