Wait, really? Top 16/8/4/2/1 arent seeded thru to the next Ro64? That seems a bit ridiculous.... Would be such a gaybar if fruit didnt qualify for the next GSL :\ They don't start seeding until the 3rd GSL or whatever.
I understand why they dont. Just look at Liveforever and some of the top 32 etc. Some of them where really horrible, and made it threw cause of randomness of prelims and their oppoenent in r64.

Dam, 3500 people for the biggest sc2 tournament is not alot at all. I guess it is a good start.

Sweet, was really hoping a Terran wouldn't win it haha. But I do like Rainbow

Great, thanks for the translation! Cool ftw

Such nice games, he truly played exceptional.
Although the admins are probably F5'ing every thread with the banhammer ready to strike I just want to state that this comment was so very true.

I think Zerg's lack of strategic options makes them a weaker race.
This only makes his feat even stronger, Fruit ftw!

I love his honesty, he seems like a great guy and I'm so happy he pulled it off! Even though it was a little anti-climactic with the stomping, still an enjoyable zerg win

FruitDealer, Zerg Hero.
^___^
Thanks for translation too.

Was wondering what's he going to do with all that money. Best of luck in season 2.

No kidding, it's fucking ridiculous to criticise people you have ABSOLUTELY no idea about. And his mum replied to a question she was asked, she said that he should give the money to them to look after it until he gets married. What a selfish bitch.

Fruit is such a lovely winner. Humble pie, friendly, Zerg... I hope he does well in GSL2.

Honestly, I almost missed the sarcasm too. Thanks for clarifying that it she said it was to save up for when he gets married. I'm pretty sure a few other pro-gamers did the same thing.

Thanks for the interview. Cool is such a cool guy

It is so retarded that there is no seeding, who's running this tournament? You want faces to popularizes your tournament, not random players every time. What if he doesn't qualify?

This isn't the GSL proper, as it were. That starts next year, with a full years worth of tournaments and competitions. The top 32 players from this years 3 tournaments will then be seeded, and then the next 64 players will have something, but I can't remember exactly how it works.
These are just preliminary tournaments to get things started ready for the proper year-long series which starts in January. Maybe they could seed from one to the next, but it's not really necessary. You would assume people who land in the top 4 would manage to get seeded in the top 32 overall ready for next year anyway.

He named himself fruitseller...so im sure he doesn't mind his family at alllllll lol

Thanks for the translation. I dont know about the English stream but on Korean stream they do show the crowd and it is HUGE. From now on, I'm gonna kill everybody who say that SC2 arent getting attention in Korea. Very well played by Cool....
On the seeding matter, I think no seeding untill 2011 is good. SC2 is so new, there are alot of raw potential players out there. GOM wants to give a chance to everybody. Remember that Boxer was just a mere unknown noob when SC1 was first play professional in Korea.

he deserved it so much in my opinion, he was clearly the most skilled player in the tournament. also his background was very touching (had to quit progaming in bw because of father got ill and help his mother selling fruits ).
