Aww anyone else feel bad for Cool? His parents never supported him but now when they're set to gain $85,000 they turn up to the event? Also Cool's mom is straight away on the phone probably bragging about how she has all this money.

I dunno just think Cool should of kept like half the money for himself.

I have this sentiment too, but how do you know he's giving all of the money to his parents? I'm pretty sure he doesn't say so in the interview.

It's an Asian country, you can bet he does.

I don't get why it's so hard to understand someone would give their prize money to their parents. Think about all the expenses your parents paid for you: free housing, free food, clothes, schooling, medical bills, entertainment. Then add in whatever you think is fair for, you know, giving you your life.

Is 80k really that much? And by the way, that's a lot of assumptions you made there, based solely on the fact that he's asian.

My mom would be horrified if I even mention the idea of giving her money. Anyway, I think Cool's mom just wanted to keep the money until he's married (to prevent him from going in a speeding spree maybe).

More on the topic: FruitDealer is such a great winner for this GSL, the guy is very friendly and has played so well. I hope we see plenty more of him in the futur. GO FruitDealer.

If Cool wasn't in his booth, he could have heard me yell "EPIIIC" every ten seconds all the way from France !

Would have like to see that hydra strat

Being Asian myself, I can relate to the money issue. I think there is a confusion with westerners regarding the money. Even though Cool gave all his money to his parents, it's still his or specifically belonging to the family including him & his parents. One person's success in the family is everyone's success. I hope that clears up the money issue.

I'm soooo lookin forward to next season though, I bet the ro64 S2 is like ro32 S1, ro32 S2 like ro16 s1, etc etc (in terms of game quality). I have high hopes for a lot more epic games in S2

Q: So you think that Zerg still needs a buff, even after winning the tournament?
A: It's shameless, I know, but I still think ZvP is hard (laughs). Since I beat a Terran in the finals, I'm confident against T, but I still think vsP is tough and needs some adjustments.

At least he knows...

80k is a ton of money, what are you talking about?

If you think it only takes 80k to raise a kid then lol. A quick google search put the cost of a child for a $40-$70k income family at $180k

do you realise how far $85,000 goes in Korea?

It doesn't matter how far it goes, the amount of time, energy and love your parents poured into you is worth much much more than 85k

Uh. Korea isn't some third world country. $85K in Korea spends like $60-70K in terms of actual buying power than $85K in US.

You live in Seoul, world's 3rd largest cosmopolitan metropolis (tied for NYC), $60K spends like nothing.

Easily my favorite zerg after this tournament. He's so easy to root for. Humble, skillful, awesome ID. He also prevent an all Terran final 4.
