During the beta, VT Gaming was proud to host a number of tournaments, including the Beta Sendoff tournament won by Canadian Protoss Kiwikaki. We promised then that we would host many more tournaments in the future.
Now is the time for the next tournament - VT Gaming's largest tournament to date.
Tournament Date: Sunday, October 3rd: 7pm EST
[b]Location: BNet North America[b]
Tournament Format:
* 128-player slots
* BO1 through the Round of 32
* BO3 from Round of 16 through Semifinal
* BO5 final
* Maps will be randomly assigned per round, loser picks next map. Maps cannot be repeated.
Prize Pool:
1st place: $100
2nd place: $75
3rd place: $25
Administration: The tournament will be organized through VT Gaming’s IRC Channel.
The tournament will be organized through VT Gaming's IRC Channel. You can get there by joining #VTGaming @ Gamesurge or by going to the Community tab at the top and selecting VT IRC. Then enter your nickname and click Connect.
Reporting for the tournament will be done through the IRC. To report a match, simply message one of the admins the results of your game (e.g. Zerker 1-0 Attero).
If there is a dispute in any of the games, please message one of the admins through the IRC. If they do not answer in IRC, try messaging them in game. Replays are required to resolve any disputes that may come about.
If a player does not show for their match within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, message one of the administrators.
Administrators:
* Mirhi
* Tranqfx
* Tortelini
* Fizzlestick
* Katsune
Streamers:
* Attero
* Gretorp

Rules:
If a player disconnects, the game must be replayed. If a player feels that they had such a significant advantage that their win would be imminent, then they can dispute the match and an admin. will determine if a win should be given. In the case of repeated disconnects, the player with the issue may be forfeited at the discretion of administrators. Only official casters and administrators will be allowed in the game. If an official caster or administrator lags continuously, they will be disallowed to cast or observe future games. Excessive bad manner will result in warnings or forfeited games at the discretion of the administrative staff. In extreme cases, bans from future events will result.
How to register:
Register for the forums by clicking Register on the bottom-left of the website and filling out the required information. Then reply to the post found here via the comment section and/or through the reply option with your Name.Identifier (e.g. Mirhi.136). Though the tournament field is limited to 128 players, in the event of no-shows all extra players will be eligible for the tournament in the order that they registered. For that reason feel free to register for the tournament even if the slots have been filled.
All information concerning the tournament will be posted here on VTGaming.net, so keep a close eye on the site, especially as Sunday, October 3rd approaches.
How to check-in: There is not yet an automated check-in feature for VT Gaming. Because of this, you must be in the IRC channel at the check-in time.
Simply joining (and staying) in the IRC channel will count as being checked in. Be sure to use the same nickname that you signed up with.
Check-in will close at 6:45pm EST and replacements will be inserted on a first come first serve basis.
Best of luck to all of you and we're anxious to see some great and excited matches!
- Michael 'Torte de Lini' Cohen & Frank 'Mirhi' Fields
