Really? I don't know. I always updated games on my girlfriend's old R4 all the time but I don't know how it is now.

Yeah, Nintendo's cracking down on ROMs. I remember romulation stopped offering DS ROMs recently.

Does that mean the R4i is not going to work?

The difference between each of them is that they are clones of the original r4. Since these things are pretty much illegal, I don't think they are copyrighted, so a lot of different companies create clones. Clones are able to play most games, but their firmware is rarely updated so don't except them to work on any game that has anti-piracy. You need to get the real R4 to play games with anti-piracy. I would also recommend the TT. My friends and I have been using it and it's very reliable.

I'm still using the super old ancient R4. I'm hoping to be able to play Golden Sun on it soon.

Is there a link to where I can purchase it?
|
Well, considering how posting links on how to download videogames (pirate) is against forum policy, I doubt this thread will stay open. Regardless, its pretty hard to find these now a days.

I also think they'll be doing firmware update stuff to fuck with rom users.

The R4 is super outdated, it's not even supported by the original company anymore so its firmware will rarely get updated. If you're going to get one, google up another one.

flash carts aren't illegal unless you're in the uk
don't get an r4 they're years out of date
get an acekard2i or something
|
r4i = for the DSi im assuming?
been playing my M3 Simply on regular DS for over 2 years now, its like the best thing ever. I probably play as much DS as SC2, but im running out of good games.. With Last Window and the new Professor Layton out though, im occupied for another week (Last window is beat, pretty good game but Hotel dusk was better imo)

PS; anyone have a 3 in 1 flash card, the one to play GBA games for DS?? anyone wanna gimme one/sell it cheaply? PM me. Wanting one badly.

I have an Acekard 2i and it works flawlessly. Every once in a while Nintendo releases a patch for the DSi that blocks flash cards but the developers for these cards release updates to override them.
www.gbatemp.net is a good resource for these kinds of things.

I have a dstt. works pretty well imo.

I'm using edge and I never have problems with any of those antihack.
