I have good internet at home which is really nice. Internet at work sucks though, and goes through a filter. I am looking at getting a mobile wifi pod that taps into the 3g network. It gives you 7.2 Mb down and about 5.2 Mb up, so I need to test it out at work to see if it is ok.

You instead have 15mb/s download and around 1mb upload. Then the High Speed Warp is like 70$ extra, and its 25mb/s download 2mb upload... makes me cringe how overpriced the internet providers are so stingy.

I don't think we'll ever have unlimited internet, the closes we'll get it the 1 terabyte plans that are coming out soon (probably going to be very expensive...) Must be a good day. You know what else sucks? Pity from people in other countries when they think about Australian internet lol I swear people look at our (Australian) plans and have a good hearty laugh.

Yeah, please, for you Australians, save yourself your limited bandwidth, I feel sorry for you guys just thinking about it. On August 31 2010 14:49 dilatedmind wrote: 4ms ping. Is this a lan speed test? Well, whenever I'm on a new york or DC ventrilo server I usually get 0-4 ping. On some of my speedtest runs its like 2 ping. I live in the middle of the business district of washington DC so I''m fairly certain the server location has to be within like 2-3 miles. So its close to lan speed lol

Optimum is terrible, they dont seem to acknowledge that their damn lines arent able to support the amount of users in an area. Only solution is getting node split, but that seems to be only a temporary solution. My area is way too saturated with users, I havent gotten my full 15/2 for months. This is all due to the terrible government's plan to provide better service and have dedicated ISPs assign to each borough. At peak hours my latency is abysmal, wish I could swap for Fios sooner.
