I don't usually BM people (I tend to take out losses on myself, and just absorb any offensive ggs that I get), but I played a terran today who made me break that rule.
In the middle of the game, I hit a huge lag spike, and typed "ppp" and paused the game, saying brb. He responds by immediately unpaused the game. Later on (I ended up beating him), he leaves without a gg.
Being extremely pissed off about this guy's blatant lack of manner, the following chat happens:
Me: Unpause into no gg Manner is clearly not your strength and judging by that game, neither is your TvT Him: Rematch? Me: Sure.
We played a re on LT, and he went for an interesting strat.
He went ghosts, and tried to nuke. However, scouting the ghosts moving out (and suspecting this), I turreted and tanked my base to protect against nuking. He sent off two nukes (towards where my army was), but neither hit anything, the first I just moved away from, and the second I kill the ghost before the end.
Towards the end of the game, I get lazy, and end up with a ton of minerals, but I was fairly sure I had the game and therefore felt like I didn't need to do much.
Here's the rep of the re:

tl;dr: Someone unpauses a game immediately after I pause it, I win, BM him (rare for me), we re, he tries to nuke me, unsuccesful.

The lag spike is hardly his problem, unpausing isn't bm and neither is leaving without gg, maybe he was in a rush?
B.net isn't kespa sanctioned, you don't have to GG and ppp is meaningless
|
Uh, it's common manners to not unpause a game ...

dunno why you think its bm to leave without gg. the large majority of people do that.

maybe he didn't know what ppp meant? i usually don't wait for a pause if the other guy doesn't say something meaningful within 15 seconds.

That doesn't make it bm or not, but, I still agree, I don't think leaving without saying anything is bad mannered, or even bad at all.
I understand offensive gg's, but lack of gg is stupid to get upset over, and rude of you because you're judging the person in the first place. Sometimes I just want to play and don't care about anyone or talking to anyone, so I don't. I really only see GG as a way of saying "I give up," and that's that.
If anyone was BM, it was you for instigating this after the game with a snarky comment and insulting his character.
EDIT: Was it really RIGHT after you said brb? If so that's pretty shit of him to do, but the gg part I don't agree with.

That's the main reason I bm'd him (the no gg was a far second, that happens all the time lol).

Well...you did admit to being BM so I guess I'm being overly harsh with my words.
At least you whupped him.

Smashing unpausers despite them being douches and unpausing is one of the most satisfying things you can do on ladder.

The only thing more satisfying?
Smashing them twice!

Being called a maphacker is up there as well.

Glad you won, and then won the rematch! Yeah it was bm of him, but outside of moderated tourneys anything goes, and some people have no honor.

You're still a douche for initiating trash talk after the game. Just own the chobo, bask in your accomplishment and move on IMO.

If I want to play SC2, then I'm going to play SC2, not sit around and twiddle my thumbs while you pause the game and go do God knows what. I don't have any obligation to wait for someone.

Valid point here, why the fuck would you say brb when you hit a spike? Just say you hit a spike. When it's over, unpause. If it was bad lag throughout the game then pausing isn't going to help. Lag doesn't settle.
I'm getting tired of all these SC2BM whine blogs, and what's worse is that sometimes it isn't even BM or in fact the OP is actually the one being bad mannered but doesn't realize it.
