me and a roomie + Show Spoiler +, along with some of our friends, were out one night downtown two months ago. drinks, dancing, blah blah.. after last call we go outside to gather up the group and talk to whoever is still there. me and the roomie live south of downtown, the other 4 live southwest. so we say our goodbyes and we start walking home. we get a call 10 minutes later that the other group of 4s apartment is on fire + Show Spoiler ++ Show Spoiler +youtube of the fire burning their apartment . me and the roomie book it over there on foot and find that fire has engulfed their apartment. they cry, find out what they need to do, who to call, all that red cross stuff. we all go to our apartment so they can sleep and calm down.
anyway, point is.. we all took a different way home than normal. we end up cutting through the cemetery. the mood is a lot better than expected, all things considering. me and the roomie are holding hands skipping on the path. somehow, her ring falls off her hand and lands on a flat gravestone off to the side. i see it but pretend like, "oh no, where did it go!?1" everyone is looking for it, but i've already picked it up and pocketed it. after about 3-4 minutes of 6 drunkards with cell phone lights looking for it, i say let's call it quits and go to our place.
she has told me a few times before that this ring is her favorite, and many times after this happened. so i know this can turn out to be an awesome prank. here it is on my hand + Show Spoiler + (for those of you paying attention, she's wearing it in the first picture)
what i want to do is wait until she's in the shower, plop her ring on the sink and leave a scary hand smear on the bathroom mirror. we're really good friends, so seeing her naked isn't a priority. but i fear that if she's quiet in the shower and hears me in there and peaks out, she'll think i'm a creeper and not trust me anymore. that's my ideal way to pull this off, but it think it's too risky to ruin a friendship.
she's really freaked out by supernatural stuff like ghosts, demons, things like that. so that's why i wanted to wait for the scary hand smear in the bathroom mirror. and since she lost it in the cemetery, it would be mind blowingly scary for her.
so, TL, any ideas on how to do this? or any better, or different ideas on how i can freak her out by her finding her ring somewhere?

If plan fails and she thinks your peeping on her, show her blog as proof that you weren't.

put the ring on a stalk of a withered rose, and leave it on her table with some grave dirt ! Just try not to get her to think that someone was in the apartment, you dont want the police in on this hehe
EDIT: Oh, you know what would be awesome, if you had a camera or a webcam and a excuse to leave it running all night without here getting suspicious (with a web cam it could just be left it on by accident), then recording yourself in black putting the ring back, and then edit the video to make it look like a ghost or something messed up (not sure how hard this is, ive seen friends do it), it would take mega effort but if i saw something like that happen to me id never sleep again.

not worth risking being known as a creeper, do something else. Maybe what besiger suggested.

It sounds like a great idea (would probably be really funny too ) and if your concern is to not come across as a creeper you have some options:
!. Be all "Oh I left my toothbrush in here is it ok to come in .. K done bye" but then it'd be oblivious it would be you so no...
2. Put on a scary (read 'Scream') mask and go about your business. If she's the type of person, a ghost bedsheet may work better.
The idea is to have an excuse if you're caught, to prove that you don't just want to "c h3r nekkid omg!"
You need an insurance in case she spots you, so I'd say go in with a scary mask on. If you're caught, the supernatural aspect'll be foiled (ring will just be a "aww u found it. K-thanks bye") but at least you can try and freak her out with a mask. GL with that, tell us how it turns out

Put it and a melted candy bar in a plastic bag. Then present it to her. Say you went back to find it (knowing how much she liked that ring), but it looks like a dog ate it and then shit it out.

maybe make a creepy package and mail it to her

1) Wait for a stormy/eerie night. 2) Mysteriously leave the house. Put a note on the table "Went to the graveyard. Lock the doors if I'm not back by midnight" 3) Hide your car/bike. Sneak back into the house 4) Hide in closet with mask/ring at the ready 5) Lay in wait. Make creepy banging/noises, but be very subtle. Wait for her to investigate. 6) Jump out of the closet and scare her, capturing all of it on your hidden camera. 7) Post the video on TL

the package seems like a cool idea, I just like creepy and hard to explain more than straight jumping out and scaring someone

okay, im sorry to have to be the one to ask, but how can you mention her, a shower, and say seeing her naked it not a priority? damn she is attractive.

Sounds like the potential to backfire is far greater then it is worth to try to pull it off.

fair enough
i grew up with girls my whole life. i've always found it very very difficult to be around guys, even still at 24. i guess it's 'cause girls always been so good to me, nice, helpful, nurturing, all that shit.
when i was 15 i had a GF raped by 3 guys, and that ... event made me so protective of any girl in my life. probably solidified me disliking most men forever
i've known this roomie in particular for 2 years now, and it's been nothing but good times. she's been like a little sister to me. and she is really beautiful. almost every time we go out she gets flocked with guys wanting to get her number or hookup (she says no, cause she aint no ho)
