Looks very good, but like a totally different game than at higher shaders. Gets 60 FPS. Starcraft II is very CPU dependent. My old 8800 GTS 640 MB couldn't run it maxed, but could run most things high enough that the stuff that was off, like SSAO, don't really look that different. What laptop is this??

4GB DDR3 Radeon Mobility 4650 (1GB) 320GB 7200RPM HDD Win7 64bit Professional. I ran fine on med-high graphics (customized) but often play on low to prevent the game from chopping up if Windows decides it needs to steal some processing power. www.ibuypower.com

2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, I forget how much RAM I'm running Nvidia 9300M GS (256MB VRAM DDR2) Windows 7 1280x800 I purchased my notebook about two years ago and literally got the smallest notebook possible which still had a dedicated video card (Asus U6V with a 12.1-in widescreen). As small as the screen is, I have no problem playing SC2 on it and love that I can play anywhere easily.

I simply want to bring it to work so i can play it, does it really matter if it's big or heavy? as long as i have a desk than i should be fine, right? Hey famz, can you do me a favor and pm me the deal or laptop you eventually go with? I would really appreciate your view cause I may be adding a laptop to my gaming rig list a couple weeks after release so I could use a starting guide. Thanks man. Either that or i'll just follow this thread, but just in case that be great. Once i figure out what i'm going to get i'll PM you and update this thread, I'm also going to post a little review about it so it'll help other people in the future. I'm waiting for the end of this week which is july 4th to decide though, since i heard newegg and other major retailers have some pretty nice sales. I'm already looking at one laptop that is amazing but i'm still on the edge of pulling the trigger which is this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834127055 I'm just not sure if this will run on ultra since it has a 330M, but i do know for a fact that 360M will. and the one thing that is great about this laptop is the keyboard, island keyboards in my opinion are the best types for RTS strategy games like sc, i could hardly play sc1 on my netbook without accidentally hitting a different key more then half the time i played. with the island keyboard that's not a problem, all you need is a mousepad and mouse and you're good to go. but like i said before i really want to wait til july 4th and see what types of deals are going to be out, saving even 100 for an i7 laptop would be a good deal. I have the f12 and it has the 330M and I can run sc2 on ultra settings with no lag. Sony Vaio F12 Intel Core Quad i7-740QM 6 GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M GPU 1GB RAM 16.4" 1920 x 1080

I was eying the middle because it's cheap + 17in screen, but I see the vid card is simply 'Intel HD'. Do I just forget it based on that?? This is a laptop for just work/bs and SC2--no other games. This was the 4th option I was looking at: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/sony-sony-vaio-15-5-intel-core-i5-430m-laptop-vpceb27fdb-black-vpceb27fdb/10146891.aspx?path=803d20e34807c2c1c7dd9d62a961c49aen02

4gig ram win 7 32 radeon mobility hd4570 + hd3200 gfx I have texture quality on med, but shaders, lighting and shadows on low. The rec spec is all mediums, but i find it really lags mid game. How I wish my custom built laptop hadn't imploded, even at 3 years old the gfx card blew this piece of shit away.

I didn't do much tweaking yet. I bumped up minor details last night (spec effects and stuff). I'm gonna try it on high later. The only thing is this thing overheats like a motherfucker. Don't play on your lap. It will crash. All good when it's on a desk or table or something.
