I understand that this isn't a tech help forum but I was wondering if the issue was simple or had a quick fix. I think it's something with my monitor or graphics card? Basically my screen has been going a little haywire recently with graphical distortions (it started today and hasn't disappeared after rebooting). There are tons of little boxes that are off-color. They disappear and reappear frequently. Here's what I mean: I'm not sure if this is related or not but SC2 has been crashing like crazy for me, and during games there are also graphical distortions with stray lines, streaks, and messed up textures. I can generally run everything maxed with no problem.
My rig that was custom built 2 months ago: Windows 7 enterprise (64 bit) intel core i7 860 @ 2.80ghz XFX radeon 5870 EVGA P55 atx motherboard
Thanks.

Sounds like the typical voltage problem with Radeon 58xx series graphic cards.
Caused by your graphic card running undervolted in the default graphic profile. (0.950v and lower clocks as opposed to 1.088v)
Simply fix: Download ATI Tray Tools, and make a custom profile for 1.088v with stock/overclocked clock speeds.

Wow, that seems to have fixed it for now! I'm amazed that it was such a simple solution and also that I was capable of doing that on my own
