Idra = speedy mechanical monkey Sen = high apm genius Also, this tournament really makes you think about how nearly impossible it is to live off being a pro-gamer. If he could do this every month (meaning there would have to be a tournament, AND he would have to win every time), he would still be making a "decent" wage. Granted, that's US standards, which is why we're the last country to have any sort of true e-Sports. but 2500$ in the ukranie is 7 months worth of average salery soooo

That doesn't mean anything is wrong about the matchup: the zerg army is still much much more mobile, especially with creep across the map, nydus worms, and cheaper transports. And the effectiveness of both colossi and mass FF is greatly diminished in a split army as well. As we saw, the zerg will usually be able to get their 200/200 army faster, so attacking at multiple points in that time window to avoid engaging the big colossus/sentry ball at all costs might become a stable of ZvP lategame.

I'm just writing this in response to the people saying the games sucked, etc... And I am not trying to 'refute' them .. but I just want to add my perspective. The last time I played an RTS was 1997 when I was in college. I used to play Warcraft with my college roommates. Then one day about a month ago I randomly discovered a HD/Husky commentated game on youtube. It was entertaining. So I checked out Husky's youtube page and found a like to e-sports. I'm not kidding -- I thought "is this some sort of Madden thing he also plays?" Anyway, I've now pre-ordered SC2 and play in silver on Bnet2. I suck. I know I suck and I don't really care. I have fun and I'm trying to get better. This place is pretty intimidating since you all seem so good and experienced, but I enjoy watching the dialogue. But if it weren't for HD and Husky, I wouldn't know about SC2 or care. I'm never going to be a player you guys know about and talk about, but I'm sure 5 years from now there will be players who get turned onto the game through casts, just like I did. And some of those players will go on to kick ass. So .. all I'm saying is hello and glad to be here. And thanks to HD and Husky for introducing me to this whole thing. Imho, the "bias" is kinda of great -- one of the strengths, I think, of Husky and HD is that they say what's on their mind when it pops in their head. I find that immensely entertaining. You can mute the volume if you don't like it.

And that doesn't mean FF is overpowered (I can't throw them out every time the way he does, and I doubt you can either); it means he's a great player. Learn to deal with FFs. [/QUOTE] For the record this was played on patch 12, not 13 so Ultras would have been more detrimental if anything due to its general uselessness.

Tune to around the 32:00 minute mark when the actual match begins (yes, there's 30 minutes of commercial in the VOD). Same strategy (defensive mass expand by White-Ra with colossi). Same map (Metalopolis). Sen wins decisively. Spoilers: Note how Sen never fights 200/200 head-on with the colossi ball. He's always fighting with multiple control groups, forcing White-Ra to move his army, and using the positional advantage to crush White-Ra's economy, abusing Zerg's ability to replace armies incredibly quickly. Most importantly, he has assassin corrupters (6-8 of them) which are sniping off colossi in every single encounter. White-Ra was never allowed to have more than 2-3 colossi in any engagement. So your advice is to play like the best and fastest player in the world? Thanks! Awesome advice.

Given that White-Ra is also one of the best (if not quite fastest - hey, he's in his thirties ) Protoss players in the world, yeah, I expect that you'll need to play like Sen to beat him. But if you're talking about colossi in casual ladder play, a group of corrupters should be sufficient to counter them.

Awesome advice. lol What the post above me said + Azarkon definitely did give terrible advice by trying to show how to beat whitera's play. A better advice would be go ahead and repeat Idra's mistakes? Given that we all try to get better I think we should do so with the right strategy. Anywho glad Ra won, pozdravliaiu! (congrats) Between, $2000 in Ukraine goes much further than in United States but its not enough for 7 months Still, I think you can live comfortably for 2-3 months with that

Hell, just the fact that my friends enjoy my videos is enough to keep me going. If I help promote StarCraft 2 and be just one of the countless steps building up to Esports having a rightful place in society, then at the end of the day I think I've done an outstanding job. I love this game and am glad I helped bring it to you as well. Cheers!

I can sympathise with some of the comments about the commentary, it's always annoying to hear repetition and particularly things like 'cheese factory' and whatever. But at the same time you guys have to talk A LOT and it must be very hard to fill in the gaps, keep up when the action picks up, and explain what's going on. I think many of us would struggle to do such a good job, and more importantly, no one else is really trying to either! Thanks so very much for what you've done to make last night's game so wonderful to watch. I think it was just a shade under 25k viewers, that's mega mega. If you think how many people go to craven cottage (fulham fc) that's a comparable number. Your sponsor got very good milage so I hope that helps you guys out in the future! Thanks again HDH guys!
