Lol, China is communist only in name. The country is actually far more capitalist than any western country.

P.S. There are tons of Chinese versions of Facebook/Youtube/Google out there. Just because you don't know how to get to them or use them doesn't mean China's internet is less free.

What other 'free' countries require you to use their own versions of everything, which are censored as fuck?

Chinese equivalents of Facebook are not censored. Google in China is now Google HK and results are no longer filtered. @OP, either use a VPN or a proxy, you will have a high latency, but afaik there is no lan latency on bnet 2.0 so... whatever.

A month long trip to China and suddenly you feel you can form opinions about the country as far sweeping as how Communist/Capitalist it is. I don't think I'll be interested at all in hearing your opinions after a month. P.S. There are tons of Chinese versions of Facebook/Youtube/Google out there. Just because you don't know how to get to them or use them doesn't mean China's internet is less free. I know that the us has centralized banking, however this does not necessitate that the us has only pure capitailism. I have been to china many times before while I was younger and my entire family is situated in china. As well even if I simply go to china for a month, I believe the first hand experience I receive is good and am merely trying to share with others who are not fortunate enough to go. I did not openly critisize the Chinese government only on parts of their Internet censorship. As well, if you are not interested, don't reply. It saves many people time. While there are many Chinese versions of video streaming, search engines, and social networking, I was not talking about that fact. Again I was only talking about the few sites that are blocked on the mainland. Please do not continue to respond without actually thinking about he context and subject matter that I am talking about. To all further responses I have acquired a wonderful tool to allow me to talk to people in the states, thanks for everyone's help and time.
