Either way, Idra's gonna have to change his game after this latest patch.
i dont think idra would value a win in those tourneys either idra could be completely unpredictable with all-in cheese as well, to keep his opponents honest and from building completely around his build but instead he just does the exact 14/15 pool 16expo build every single game he knows everybody knows, but hes just going to do it and see if you can stop him

except idra isn't good with cheese and savior pwns cheese or standard

Hard to believe that the Asian SC2 community is noticeably better than Euro or NA if IdrA is #3.
I'd expect him to be in the 20s or 30s if it was as tough as advertised.
IdrA =2231 rating, 99-19 on NA servers i dont think anybody can make a case that he is not #1 on NA in terms of ability if there were 20-30 ppl better than NA's #1 player then something would be seriously wrong (seeing as how he plays 12-14 hours as well) i doubt whoever NA's #2 player could be doing as well as idra on the asia servers
artosis is 38-11 on NA while 72-53 on asia the chinese player Gale was top 10 player on NA with a good win% for awhile after first reset hes in the thirties and 324-252 on asia
if idra played 500 games on NA he'd be #1 by 300+ points IMO

... IdrA is almost Korean. What separates him now? He's living in korea with Korean progamers and eating Korean food. He learns from Korean coaches and teammates and practices SC 24/7. If you were implying that there's some GENETIC difference, you're an absolute idiot. Koreans are better simply because of their environment and their own practice; they practice a lot, have a sick work ethic, and are surrounded by people like that, so they have to work as hard as HELL. Say what you want about IdrA, but never say that this guy is the average Euro or NA foreign progamer. He's not anymore.
Also, Asian SC2 is good, but it's also brand new, and the US/Euro is on a somewhat similar level... for now. IdrA is one of the few progamers who has so quickly transitioned to SC2, and he was doing very well in Korea. Money is right now in BW, not yet in SC2... when (or if) money shifts over to SC2, then you'll see a freaking enormous gap appear again like in the BW scene.
wow Idra high win percentage comparitively and tons of games. Really shows the difference between US and asia servers. He is just as high in the US with just over 100 games and 83% compared to his 67% 600games on asia.

disagree. Nony > Idra, and if they play in any tourneys soon he will show it again. idra wins from mass gaming, and you cant suck if you play 500+ games in the span of 2 weeks, esp if you are living in a progaming house.. but when it comes to actual skill and RTS "talent".. Nony is head and shoulders above of idra. Nony can take months off, come back barely playing any games and beat idra no prob, as we saw in TSL2.
They say practice makes perfect, but I dont think thats the case in RTS or FPS games.. You need a certain gamesense/feel for the games to be great, combined with practice.. and Idra is missing that, which is why he cant defend simple cheese half the time, he has no adjusting, just 10 hours a day of practicing tthe latest "korean build" out.. Remember the first beta reset, Idra was like 200-150 on the US server?? A talented RTS player owns from the very first patch because they have a superior mental game than just 1000 hours of buildorders practiced.
Its respectable to have the dedication idra has, but since hes such a bm dick to everyone, i am calling it how I see it. He would of never got past courage, yet Nony almost did it his first try.
DUDE - I want replays of those guys... Especially the Terrans like Ensnare and after what Tester said about Terran being the best race by far in the right hands! ^^'
Cuz atm, I don't like the Korean Terran-builds that much... Basically always - rather early gas - 1rax+reactor---> pump Marines - rather early second gas - Factory+Techlab ---> pump Tanks - Starport ---> first Viking, then techlab for Raven, then Banshees
---> Timing push with Point defense drone...
Just no macro-game at all - just a timing attack. Really not what I expect from Koreans at all! ^^'
