I wanna get in the beta to try sc2 and help shape and give feedback to blizzard about the game. because i care! But instead of giving out keys to people that SIGNED UP to be betatester, blizzard gives out(second time) friend keys for betatester, these keys 'could' be pasted on to people that didnt give a **** about testing the game and on the other hand just playing it as a demo!
I dont get it!
Anybody could help me out with a green-cart to the US, seems that would be the best chances;) exact same situation. no <3 from blizzard.
Im just speechless. I understand that blizzard uses this as a PR stunt and with all respect. But if they want some constructive feedback on the game why not pick the opt-in first!

ech, no love from blizzard again.

Glad to see I'm not the only one, though I do believe they are a buisness first and are trying to rake in the pre-orders. I think the fansite keys are just a kinda publicity stunt to drive hype up the roof compared to the pre-orders.

Majority of ppl who opted-in are WoW players who hardly ever played any RTS game ever

because their train of thought is, that via invite-a-friend quite active players will join the beta which have social contacts amongst other players and so generate more data and/or eventually more team play data. in contrast to an opt in account from which the activity is more unsure than from an account that got activated via invite a friend key...

Because you are supposed to have sc2 players among your friends if you're truly a fan ! Oh well, just kidding gl
|
Point taken! But i have only crossed starcraft universe on the opt-in.

hmmm just found a emal regarding the friend invite, but how do i know that its real and not fake?
the name of the mail is: "StarCraft(r) II: Wings of Liberty(TM) Beta Test - Invite a Friend " from "]http://www.starcraft2.com
and there is a shitload of jpg and gif in the mail -,- not sure if i can trust it
+ wouldn't it also show in the battlenet account?
|
Having no key and being in the UK where there aren't pre-order beta keys yet, its frustrating to see Blizzard send out more friend keys, rather than opt-ins... but I understand it makes sense for them to do so.
It seems like there's a lot more beta keys knocking about nowadays. I wonder if that's because Blizzard are looking for more concurrent simultaneous users, or that some people stopped playing the beta?
Hopefully everyone who wants it will have access to pre-order keys soon enough.

Thats the legit one. Just show images, you'll see your two codes and all links there will be legit links even though you don't have to click on them.

i wonder of all the people that are getting friend invites now, how many have gotten a friend invite before too? or have registered through someone else's friend invite? how many are old accounts and how many are new ones made after the previous wave? how many are from opt-in? and so on..
|
|
If anyone has a spare key to give away, I would be very grateful! ALL my friends have an account, none of them got keys from this wave . I feel left out

I can answer that partially for you!
I have tried to opt-in but I haven't received a beta key. One of my SC1 acquintances shared (practically gave me) his key because his comp can't run SC2. I played a ton on that acc, so he got into the first "invite a friend" wave and used that key to set me up w/ my own account. A day or two later that new account (my own) got another friend invite key which I gave away to another SC1 acquintance. Now, this account (my own that is) got 2 more beta keys, one I gave to a RL friend (who was sharing the very first loaned account with me / later using it as his own) and the 2nd I'm still looking to give away.
TL;DR version: my acc is from a friend invite, and it already got a friend invite to send out in the past. It was made mid-March or so.
Hope that answered a few questions.
I still haven't decided who to give the 2nd key to (as I haven't contacted those people I know IRL if they want / need it), so you can still PM me There are a lot of deserving people so far, it'll be hard to choose should I really decide to give one away here. I'm saying this again, don't get your hopes up, this is just a chance. I'm not entirely sure what to do with the 2nd key yet.

Hi Guys,
Would be much appreciated, if someone has a spare invite left, for this former SC1 & CnCH player

not getting an invite is like siting in the school yard and never being picked for any team game (
curse you blizzard
