The old style of FPL was full of whorish trading to make sure your players are all playing this week. Now, you're actually betting that the players you picked will be good enough to play and win this week.
There was more analysis based on what matchups your players drew on what maps, whether they were being played in the 4th set and vs. what team, etc. Now as far as I'm concerned you just go with your gut feeling on whether some player is performing and will continue to perform better than another. It's definitely not a superior setup for FPL.

i hate you guys a little less now How do you figure? I personally think this makes STX far more of a threat just because of their versatile and consistent lineup.

Am I thought only person who was actually helped by this? It means Midas will get more playing time, and WeMade won't have to send out their terrible non-Terrans, so they'll perform that much better this season. Plus, it means PerfectMan won't play, and he's on my anti, so that will be all good then

It seems someone in Kespa never won Liquibets.

I agree. I expect a good round for STX.

Looking forward to the extra mirror matchups.

i was so right about the 4 terran thing, too bad no nada

so 8 games and 9 terrans tonight, please kespa change back to the old format..
not looking forward to TvTs

I prefer not having the race rule. It gives teams more of a unique identity, although it probably sucks for the b-teamers.
I like the blind pick change, but not a fan of not forcing teams to have each race play. I mean before there weakest race was a major weakness and now you just don't use them.
Maybe its because it would make it very easy to guess who was coming out if they hadn't used a zerg yet
Wow I see alot of ZvZ coming up
WeMade's lineup:
Mind Baby Midas Nada??
now with the 1-per-race rule gone cj will cry in agony for letting kwanro go because they thought their zerg lineup was crowded.
Gonna be 90% TvT's. If it isnt this is gonna be awesome

can someone clear up whether or not the players are simply pre-assigned but not revealed, or does the coach actually choose a player when the map comes up and can use POE to better snipe a player (in the case of Modesty in the fourth set)?
While I do think this will make Proleague more exciting (ACE match player reveal before every game!) I do feel sorry for the players though. They already practice their hearts out for one matchup, now they have to do it for three?
Do teams actually only need 4 player now? :| big screw up
