First off.. + Show Spoiler +Your feelings on advancing to the Ro16?I did manage to advance but I got very angry with myself. While playing Midas I felt that my play wasn't very good. I'll try to recover that weakness and reach far in the league. Did you not prepare enough for the first game?I definitely didn't prepare for set 1 as much as set 2 and 3. I thought even without practicing much that I'd be fine but it was pretty clear today that Midas owned me in terms of skill so I'm mad at myself. You didn't look very happy even after winning the loser's match. My skills had returned somewhat so I wasn't that mad. The shock from losing game 1 was still there so I was trying to focus. Did yesterday's loss in the OSL have an influence?I earned something from losing yesterday but I learned nothing from losing today, which is why I was even more pissed. Because it's just 1 loss and I still have a chance to qualify, I didn't worry about it too much and focused on practicing for today's games. What did you earn from yesterday's defeat? It's a game-related thing so I don't really want to say it You went mech for two days in a row against Zergs. It was a bit different because of the maps. I was able to play a lot more confidently today. I thought my play was perfect while practicing for yesterday but while actually playing Hyvaa it didn't quite go as how I planned it. I was pissed off for a while but after reflecting, I learned quite a few things from it. Your Ro16 opponent will be Hwasin.I practice frequently with Hwasin so I hope we can have an awesome game together. Because I'm very confident about TvT, as long as I practice, I think I can advance. You had no rest since the Winner's League finals.I couldn't rest for even a day since then. My body is tired and my fingers don't move as fast as I want them to. I hope I can recover quickly with this victory. The Proleague format changed.I really like it and hoped for it to be implemented a lot. I'm more confident about it and I think I can even with the Most Wins in Proleague award. It's true that as the number of leagues increased there was less time to prepare for everything. I usually don't practice that much and I think I will have more time thanks to the new format. I'm a player who focuses heavily on game fundamentals and I think the new format suits my style better. Any last words?I hope a lot of people come to see the opening match for Proleague R4 on saturday.
Now + Show Spoiler +Your feelings on making it back to the Ro16 in 10 seasons?I was definitely lucky this time. Even if you play extremely well, if you're unlucky you will lose. I feel that on average my skill isn't very different from the others so it depends a lot on my condition that day. Starting locations, builds, or just ingame luck are all such factors. How did you prepare for your match against Flash?I don't worry that much about TvT and just do what I have to do. I think I started off very well and felt that Flash didn't prepare much for the map. When I saw that he started off with tanks instead of vultures, I felt he didn't understand the map that well. He like a style where he makes a lot of tanks and establishes territory but I think this map didn't really suit that kind of play. Because of all his tournaments, I think he didn't have much time to prepare. Your choice of wraiths was also very good.I knew wraiths were good. There are no cliffs to take advantage of with ground units so I chose wraiths instead of dropships. Your understanding of the map seems good.I think that's because I had a lot of time to prepare. Flash had a vacation break after the finals so it must have been hard for him to prepare. (Note: ehhh?) How was your game against Action?I planned my game that way regardless of whether my opponent was Hyun or Action. They're both new to the game so I planned it that way. But Action blocked it quite well considering he went overpool. And honestly I practiced the most for my 5th game because I thought I would lose against Flash. It's your first Ro16 in a while. It must feel good to come this far.I didn't appear in the individual leagues for a while and barely came out for the Proleague. I think it will mean a lot more if I go further. Proleague R4 is starting soon too.I want to do even better in the proleague. It's nearing the Playoffs and we're only in 6th place so we're on the edge. My goal is 6~7 wins per round. I don't want to set my goals too high. Wemade Terrans are doing extremely well recently.I think the removal of the race limits on the proleague are extremely good. Having a lot of TvTs can be a problem, but since we have a lot of great Terrans I think the change is good. You're having some kind of synergy with Baby.I don't want to admit it but I think there is some of that. I think baby is always very lucky Your Ro16 opponent is Jangbi. It's a big problem. I wanted to go up as 2nd place since I have no confidence in TvP. Me having good TvP is all from 5 years ago. I wanted to play Hwasin and practiced my 5th match a lot. When Jangbi played Zero I cheered for Zero a lot but Jangbi just played too good. I will practice a lot and make sure I beat Jangbi. Any last words?I want to thank my practice partners. Because they helped so much, I really thank them all. I made Hero[join] practice with me so much on Triathlon I want to say sorry to him. I felt that winning on Triathlon and advancing second would be really good.
On a side note, Moon the wc3 player is getting married!

Midas!
It was good to see him scouting a lot more than he used to in the past. Both him and Flash loved to just... not scout until they get vultures or something in periods in their past.

Lol each of Flash's loses make him even more of a beast. hopefully he can recover from his slump

Flash is overworked right now, he just needs to rest or he will burn out
|
If Flash begins to stumble again (not b/c last night was a stumble but I mean what happened to him like a year ago) it will be because his team ran him into the ground, much like Oz did to Jaedong.
(Gratz to the 5th race! You're the best wc3 player ever... with grubby ofc)

Yeah i'm scared. Korean progamers don't seem to rest enough.
Thanks for the translation!

Ewwwwww! Flash is human after all. Being overburdened with heavy schedule and the lack of time to fully understand new maps DO affect him.
Lolz about the result though. Hwasin ended up playing against Flash, Midas ended up playing against Jangbi and Flash is pissed at losing against Midas. The only guy who can smile at the result is probably Jangbi.

And it's starting again.
If KT manages to get every match to Ace we'll have no Flash in finals...
Flash is really cursed to be in such a team.

Hey, at least Flash is being paid well for his service.
Can't say the same for Jaedong.

Yeah, but in return Oz doesn't burn out Jaedong so he can make money himself. According to Liquipedia Jaedong is the first on total prize money score.

Midas! Woot.
Tx for the translation.

Flash advanced and you freaks are starting to think he's slipping? Oh my God! He had a 2 game losing streak! The end is near!!!

Jangbi PvT has been really shaky and quite frankly I'd be suprised if Flash doesn't roflstomp him like all the other Protosses
@ The guy sarcastically saying "omg flash lost 2 games the end is near"...
The point is this is really reminiscent of Flash a while ago when he was dominating then lost to Luxury. Eventually a massive schedule led to him declining. and it took a long time to recover. Same cycle seems to be starting, considering flash played SLOPPY (yes, SLOPPY), against a relatively mediocre zerg

That's only after that incident where he almost left Oz, but him, as one of the best players ever, getting only 100 000 $ a year is shame, whereas flash is getting for 2 years already 300 000$. But hey it seems that KT > Hwaseung in money

Against so-so opponents! It's still ridiculous to start acting like something serious is going on already, but besides the Bo5 against Jaedong he hasn't lost two games in a row since like June last year or something, so it's at least somewhat understandable that some people are a little worried considering that he has burned out before.

Thanks for the translation. Looking forward to Ro16.

"What did you earn from yesterday's defeat? It's a game-related thing so I don't really want to say it "
Be afraid. Be very afraid.

Thanks for the translations, really appreciated! Way to go Midas! WAY TO GO!

Hence, I said that the only individual who is happy about this group's result is Jangbi, whose PvT is no longer at super S-class level. Jangbi's PvT may suck now, but I suspect Midas' TvP is even worse.
If Flash 2-0'ed this group, he would play against Jangbi and rape. Hwasin probably got a reasonable chance at winning against Midas in BO3 TvT. Instead, a twist of fate ended up in Hwasin's misery. Hwasin got some serious issue with Round of 8.

poor Hwasin... flash slips a bit and he ends up matched up against him. The guy can't catch a break.
