Executor VS Wizard was a big upset too, which saved Elky from elimination...

10 options is plenty though (and also the max) Personally I find Blackman vs Oddysay at Valhalla one of the biggest (maybe THE) upsets. All in all Nirvana making it to the second round and maybe Froz beating Boxer TWICE are the biggest upsets of the tournament to me (I knew Froz was able to beat him, but 2 times without a single loss, wow). As for seperate games I'm going for Blackman vs Oddysay (mostly because it was Valhalla) with Josez vs Boxer as a close second.

Beating Boxer once in F2F tourney on a cheezy fluke is nice (Jose), but beating him twice, and the 2nd time in a do or die playoffs, wow! As analogy, imagine an amature part-time golfer doing the same thing to Tiger Woods. To site admin: (Liquid'Meat... when voting and commenting on poll from the forum area, I keep getting returned to the last I viewed forum thread instead of poll thread, which I think is better behavior.)

BoxeR could have underestimated Froz in their first game, but he knew the latter had already beaten him before playing the second one...

Josez vs. Didi8 was the biggest upset in my mind, this gave A LOT OF CHANCE TO BOXER to go to double elimination !!! Think about, if Didi8 won this game, probably Froz would have won against Boxer and Chobo and BYE BYE BOXER. Man i can't believe you forgot this one :/ Who really tought Josez could beat a someone a second time? PLEASE replace Nirvana vs. Whear , to this one OMG.

-biggest upset for a match (Froz > Boxer 2nd imo, Boxer had to play 150% and still lost) -biggest consequence on the tournement: JoseZ vs Didi, Executor vs Wizard, those games could have eliminated Boxer or Elky

Defeating Boxer once is one thing, but doing it a second time in a row is just outrageous. Not only was the match up TvT, a match up that heavily favours Boxer, but defeating him on his own turf warrants that the second match between Froz and Boxer be considered as the biggest upset of WCG2002. TvT "a match up that heavily favours Boxer?" TvT has always been cited as Boxer's weakest link. I agree tho that beating Boxer twice "on his own turf" was a huge surprise. By "upset," I take it the poll means which result was the most surprising or unexpected. By that yardstick, JoseZ beating Boxer seems to me the biggest upset of WCG 2002. Froz beating Boxer twice is also big and comes a close second, but it should be kept in mind Froz is still a "known" player and came to the games as USA #1 - he should be given more credit. My FAVORITE upset tho (as opposed to my opinion of the BIGGEST) is Didi v His Keyboard. Perhaps not quite the "upset" the pollster had in mind, but "upset" is the appropriate word to describe it, I think. Thx for that one Breeze. Very clever. I'm still laughing about that...

How is FroZ!s TvT? There's not a lot of his replays floating around the BW sites. The reps of Boxer's TvTs I've seen, especially the 5-game series vs St. Eagle awhile back, showed that he was quite skilled in that match up. As for it being his worst, it's not the same as saying that he sucks in TvT. As for underestimating FroZ!, I didn't mean to, I understand that it takes a talented gamer to qualify 1st place out of the US 2 years in a row. He is skilled, but before WCG started who would have thought that Boxer would be beaten twice in a row? I figured that since this was an international competition, with pressure and large prizes at stake, there were going to be surprises such as great players losing to more obscure players but who thought that Boxer would drop 2 consecutively? I don't think anyone did.

This due to weird brackets and to Grrrr..., Froz, Oddy, Naz losing unexpected early games.
