I feel so fucking good right now....
I'm been getting my ass kicked by a 4th year Graph Theory course that has a hardcore german prof who seems to have a vendetta about explaining things clearly, and much prefers the "It's obvious" approach and moves on, when to most people in the class its not obvious at all.
I thought the midterm for this course was Monday, and studied a bit but had kinda resigned to a failingish mark, since I've been doing alright on the assignments. But when I showed up on Monday, all ready to fail, it seemed that the prof had moved it to today, so I stayed up all last night cramming on energy drinks and coffee... going over Graph theory online notes from similar courses... and old assignments. It was about 10 minutes before the midterm when I felt the crash... It was terrible, like I had just swallowed a sackful of lead... So I drank my last Monster and headed in, hoping that it would just last me the hour.
I tell you, my caffeine addled brain worked like I don't think it ever has... I fucking ROCKED it. If there was a UBB code to make that "ROCKED" large and squiggly as if yelled at a tremendous volume, this would be the time to employ such a thing. Oh Godfuckingshithole, it felt awesome to walk out of there... from the bowels of failure I was shat into the world of success and thus reborn.
Oh... man... if only the world always felt like this. Time to crash for a good 20 hours.

Congratulations.
However, keep in mind I went through the EXACT same scenario as you did, feeling quite euphoric immediately after the test.
Then a week later came the marks, well... then I was more or less like, ^&(%$^%&*^(&*) KILL ME NAWW.
Beware, the test probably rocked you.

I have midterm today after 6 hrs! I have only studied a little until now and is planning for quick cramming, except that I am now typing random shit on TL! ...Freshman laziness ftw.

PS: Using energy drinks is like speedhacking, it's cheating. If you rocked it without studying and/or drugs, it would be way more impressive.

Haha I did the exact same thing, just not sleeping / red bull for 48 hours straight. I wrote the midterm and felt great about it. Then when I got it back it was fucking horrible, like I couldn't understand what the hell i'd been thinking. I tell you I had written some weeeeird ass shit.

AH man, such a good feeling! Congrats ;P
I love when I've prepared for a test and just knock it out of the ballpark.

Are we gonna get another blog in a week where you go "FFFFFFFFFFFFU-"?

Congrats. Graph theory is a lot of fun, but in the end the professor is key. + Show Spoiler +I also had a German guy for graph theory (Mathias Beck I think was his name) and that was one of the best courses I ever took. He never "lectured", just came in and asked us how to solve a problem or another, working together on these huge pieces of paper and the boards. Very informal and very fun, and at the end of the course it turned out we had just proven the theorems he was supposed to teach, bu through some journey of discovery. Extremely rare for a professor to have that style, but hugely powerful when done right.

Somehow this is true for me as well. Whenever I got overconfident I made dumb mistakes. It even carries through to work now.
