Updating post in a moment EDIT: I'm not totally up to date on the latest benchmarks for the latest graphics cards, etc (which you can find through google) but a quick browse on newegg turned up these parts, which should be more than sufficient to run sc2 at high specs and are relatively cheap: Nvidia 9800GT for $114.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130435 4 gigs of ram (2x 2gb stick) $84.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227346 AMD Phenom II, 3.1ghz for $95.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103680 You will probably need a new motherboard too. You shouldn't need to care much about the processor tbh, which is why I linked a random cheap but not totally fail one. The bottleneck is almost certainly going to occur at the graphics card level when you have 4 gigs of ram and a decent processor, so I'd considering upping the graphics card before anything else. I'll check thread again in about 15-20 mins when I get back to my apartment.

I recommend against that particular set of RAM if you plan to upgrade to an AMD system, because OCZ RAM is notorious for being unreliable on AMD systems. Your motherboard must change, I'm not sure about the PSU, but it might have to go as well (how many watts is it? How much does it have on the 12V Rail etc). Edit: As far as simply PLAYING SC2 at max settings (ie no streaming or other business) An Athlon II X2 dual core or Phenom II X2 dual core, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and a 4850 will be enough. That total comes to around $210-250. Add a new motherboard and it becomes around $260-300. 2GB of RAM won't be enough to add other stuff on.
