Hey everybody!
This is my first blog here on TL!
I've started working on electronic music and such recently, and I thought I would post this remix and perhaps get back some comments and criticisms on what I need to be improving. Click Here!
About my setup: Ableton Live 8 Reaper Tascam US-144 Old Suzuki Midi Keyboard Korg PadKontrol
But yeah please let me know what you think, and I'd be interested in hearing tips and tricks from other dj's and producers!

Well, without a download link you will have a hard time getting any feedback at all. ^^

Hey, link doesn't show up. And I'll be reviewing this. I love Kid Cudi, so I'm a critical one.

Your technical skills don't seem bad at all. The EQ-ing, I admit, is funny. The overuse of effects is also a minor issue. I do like your loops and actual beats though.

what kind of monitors are you using? i personally just didnt like the bass balance
|
Yeah I don't know anything about mixing correctly yet sadly =[
and I don't have any monitors ;_;
Yeah I thought I might be overdoing it with the filters a bit. Thanks for your feedback guys!
edit: I am getting some monitoring headphones for Christmas though.

are you singing these? its pretty good.
I suggest maybe tune down the instrumental and increase the vocals.
I personally like Day/night, it seems like a lot of layers were used to create this.
You should try Cubase/Fl studio/Sonar cakewalk as well. I play a lot with FL studio (however i'm not very good ) we should share some of our beats through PM. I gotta say that our styles are pretty different XD.

Naw, Day N' Nite is sung by Kid Cudi.

Glad to see your not working with fl studio like most people just starting out in electron music..
Its pretty good, definitely get some good monitors before anything else though.

yea there is a lot of levels that are too high and there s quite a bit of distortion running around loose (the bad kind unfortunatelly)
As for the conceptual mix that is entirelly your own taste, but if you want my opinion on it id rather see that you tried to replicate the flow of the original mix. The best part of that song is the way the baseline sways and imediatelly gets you diggin'!
