Well yeah, I'm not in a guild of 40+, I'm in a guild of 6. We can't conquer forts, and we cannot hold them on our own. My server has the highest population in Germany by far, and this also shows in the amount of full raids coming to a siege. Getting 1-3 Medals per run (without an alliance!) isn't that much of a problem, but when you need 93 medals for a weapon, that means you need ~50 fort sieges. For ONE item. OTOH, a *zerg* guild like yours needs what, 5 attacks/defenses to get multiple ppl an item?
Also, you haven't been reading the thread properly, I think. I have been talking about group PvP, 6v6. Telling me to go join a zerg guild and not care about 1v1 isn't exactly an appropiate response to the subject of item balance and effectiveness of classes in groups.
But now that you bring it up, being required to have a zerg guild to get stuff done in a reasonable amount of time also is a flaw of Aion. (BTW, I'm joining a zerg guild with my group as I'm writing, and I'm not happy about it..)

50 fortress sieges, not hard. I already have a decent weapon that I got through PvE, I'm currently stacking up medals as I stack up my AP, I have no issues with this. When your 50 you might start doing up to 3 fortress raids a day, and if you manage to defend with your clan / conquer another one, that's possible 9 medals from a single day.... I'm also giving away currently medals to a friend.
I'm not saying you don't have to care about 1v1. I'm saying if your wanting balanced 1v1s, this is the wrong game. Did you play this game to 1v1? It seems so for some reason. This game isn't balanced around that. If you want to PvP, your 6 man guild works fine, but don't expect to clear any serious raids or be able to take over fortressses. 2vX and up, this game is great.

I never said that I wanted everything to be clearable by a group of 6, only that the system of distributing medals to a defending guild/keepowners (= guild who did the most damage at the attack = zerg) makes it impossible for small groups to make progress at the same rate as a large guild. "Just because you can't manage without hiding in a zerg, the whole game should be designed to make it so that >everything< requires 20+ ppl? Should they make Dredgion raidcontent too?"

Especially when you are allied with 3 more guilds of that size. You can easily field 1, if not 2 raids every evening. First of all, how the system works is still a mystery. We had a siege with us having 1 force, and with our allies have 2 forces there, yet some random clan with 7 members I think it was got the fortress. So if it's about DPS in the first place, I'm not sure. Now, if it was, again, does it matter? What your clearly suggesting here is that if some big clan comes with maxium amount of members, and no1 can match their numbers, they would get every fortress? No. That won't simply happen. And it should be obvious why.
Why on earth are you bringing Dreadgion up, your trying to use the same arguement as I did in a completely wrong manner. Dreadgion was designed to be a 6v6 PvPvE instance for end game. And it works as such. Fortresses were designed to be for mass PvP, so atleast bring 2 parties upto 1 full force amount of people if you wish to accomplish something. This is obvious. I fail to see anything illogical here that would make you say what you did. Dreadgion is a good source of AP, Fortresses are a source of medals.
Want to do 6v6? GO DO DREADGION. Wow. Want to do 6vX? Go Abyss or rifting. But don't goto fortresses that are MEANT for mass PvP and come back crying that your clan of 6 can't do shit. I seriously sense a lack of common sense here.
Wow, so your actually whining that the game was ''tailored'' for us because we PLAY IT CORRECTLY, in other words, the way it was meant to be played? Well no shit, rofl. We don't try to do heroic or legendary raids with 6 people, we bring slightly less of a force. It's not hard for us to organize that. And it shouldn't be for anyone else.
Your just better off quitting. Allthough you can get far with just 6 people because lots of drops do come from instances, you obviously fail to understand that you need to work with other people and the game was NOT designed so that you get everything from having just one party.
Oh and it's hilarious you consider 20 people and above a zerg guild, I stand with my statement: You are stupid.
Oh man western MMO'ers always piss me off. You should also learn that Korean MMOs are different, I was actually surprised how much more of a western style Aion had adapted to it, but I suppose not enough.
Anyways, anyone thinking about getting and playing this game, should do it, it's great fun. If you've only played WoW before, the grind might feel annoying at later levels, but recently they increased XP from quests so getting up shouldn't be much of a problem anymore.

aion is by far the easiest mmo that i've played
the drop rates in dark poeta need to be fixed (way too high) and the other items are rare like they should be
the grind takes a month of hardcore
the game plays out a lot more like dota than a traditional mmo. each class is pretty tailored to their specific role and EVERY class has a "omg this skill is so imba" skill.
also... i'm a level 50 sin and i have 65 medals now. i'm going to have medals LONG before i have the ap. i don't see how medals are of any concern.
and no you don't have to join a zerg guild to get medals. you can solo and still get the highest # of medals possible from that fort (which i do often or in groups of 2 to 3 with no cleric). you get a lot more ap in a stacked group than in a clan alliance.
our group (50 sin (full 50 daeva), 50 glad , 50 ranger (full 50 daeva + bf), 50 ranger (heavenshattering + fs/bf) actually took kysis (upper/inner) from a full alliance of the #1 clan on the server a few days ago. they have many more 50s and some have better gear. that's 4 level 50s taking a fort from 36 level 48-50 (the majority being 50). the contribution system actually rewards small group play.
p.s. the 5k aoes are ridiculously easy to los and/or dodge

I got a lvl 32 gladiator or was it lvl 31... havent logged since I started so dont really remember, also the acc doesnt have gametime ofc. so ye PM me if u want an AION account and want to play it.
PS: the only MMO i am going to try next is Star Wars Online, its from Bioware and its gonna rock because its gonna be the 1st mmo that hasnt got that gamestyle the grind thingy. you can actually be a bad guy or a good guy in the game etc. and Dragon Age was my personal game of the year that passed along with GTA and maybe cod. talking about single player modes.
