I decided to apply the name of my favourite album off my Winamp playlist as the title for this post, coz I just realized how lame I am at summarizing.
I am a bit ashamed. But also proud. Not many people can stop blogging as often as I do. And not many people will make a new promise every time that this will never happen again. But I do. It's been almost a few weeks I didn't write a thing, mainly it's because so many things that interfered with my blog. Life is so much easier when you are 22. Or 21. Or 3.
Unfortunately, I'm not gonna make up a fictitious tale about scourging off all the vessels before the flank, or a tutorial about performing a trick of huge-and-roll to compensate a bad sex, but in some weird way, I seem to have this sort of special power worth commenting, especially when things screwed up, and by that I meant the psycho mana that I yet to discover. (I wrote the term in italic simply because there is no such word).
Follow the single click of my previous posts, I finished the 10,000 word Research Project (at a high score, I may add), successfully graduated from university and finally, UK Immigration agency pleased to announce: I have just been granted the Residency (even if it's just for 2 years). ''You have accomplished all you've been working towards over the last 5 years, what else you are on atm then?'' You may ask. Well, my dear reader, our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter, and now here comes the real challenging part - get a job and settle down. You might already know how tough it is (well for me, it was). If you are still studying in colleges, let me give you a bit of insight about the coming encounter not just you but everybody faces when out of school: 200,000+ of your peers competing for a job post, and only 1 out of 100 people will be chosen to a single role.
''jobs-a-plenty''
I knew this mothernature of the civilised society several years ago, so I planned to apply for jobs before the time when everybody packed at the recruitment market cos that's just plain torturing. It proved to be true and the opportunity I got early this year was precious, a leading company, I flew to its headquarters located in Gibraltar for an interview with the flight ticket booked by the would-be employer, but just as everything went so well, I acted so bad at the interview.
Now I'm back in UK, with news about economic recessions everywhere, companies broke out and the rise of unemployment rate. I started to wonder: is timing really that important (and I meant in real world, not just in SC)? Overwhelmed with remorse and speculations, that's when the anger management kicked in, followed by the psycho mana that prevented me from going physical and whipped my aggression back on track: Sometimes, fate must be forced rationally. One month.. two months, just as if the storm never ends, with the help of vhallee (you, sir, are fucking awesome!) and two of his colleagues, now the plan of 'back in Gibraltar' finally starts to get going again, I can see the silver linings of the black cloud - If you don't get what you want now, you will get something much better.''
And this time, I will be much prepared. Because. I am a B lvl Zerg.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what you're trying to say. I clicked this link because of Dream Theater.

Yes. That is how you spell favourite. Crazy Americans and their butchered English!

I saw a DT album title so I clicked. Tbh, I didn't find Black Clouds and Silver Linings to be any different or better from their previous work. Octavarium and Systematic Chaos are probably their best.

You'll be hard pressed to find many Dream Theater fans who rank those albums higher than I&W or SFAM.

You're probably right. I'm not that much of a Dream Theater fan, more of just a John Petrucci fan. The two that I stated are just my personal favorites.

I motion for derailing this thread in to anything DT related.

I totally thought this was going to be a Dream Theater thread, haha...and looky looky, it turned out to be one. (:
And wow. Black Clouds is, in my opinion, their best album since Six Degrees and SFAM before that.
Octavarium is ok, but Systematic Chaos is such a bad album...this is one of the first places where I've run into people who considered that to be one of their best.
I'm totally fine with the differing opinions (I mean...I still listen to DT's worst albums over albums of countless other bands), but still...surprising, haha.
