This summer the D.C/Baltimore area was home to a host of TL.Net gatherings. On July 11th SuperiorWolf hosted the first LAN @ SeoulPc. The turnout was so great (25 people or so) and we all had so much fun I hosted a second LAN a couple weeks later at the same location. Both events were awesome. The location was awesome and the games were awesome and dinners were awesome...
You get the point, it was awesome.
On August 8th Haemonculus hosted a proleague finals viewing at her place which was loads of fun as well. Many of us watch proleague all the time but it's usually alone at 3 in the morning, to watch it with a dozen or so other TLnetters makes a huge difference. (Jaedong vs Fantasy day 1 game 1 was one of the best starcraft games in 2009- period.)
So, the summer is winding down but LAN'S in the DC/Baltimore area definitely aren't. The next event that I am planning is this event on Saturday October 3rd!

The PC CENTER
I know some people from earlier LAN's will be leaving the area for school. But I also know a few others who have been out of the area all summer and have expressed interest in joining us for future LAN's. I've had people express interest of driving/traveling from areas all over to attend a LAN around this timeframe... So here we GO.
Here's the tentative deal; The day will be EPIC. There will be an EPIC 1v1 double elimination tournament with prizes. We'll take cash donations for a prize pot and Louder has said he will be bringing other prizes as well - Yes Louder is coming, one of the WCG USA finalists this year and one of the best USA protoss players. There's some incentive to come if you didn't have some already... ahaha.
Dinner location is still being looked into but I'm definitely leaning towards heading over to Korean BBQ Buffet place down the the road at around 6:30-7pm. There's still plenty of time to take care of dinner though. First priority is I need to gauge interest level here because Seoul PC has requested we call about a month ahead of time with info of how many people we'll have and when. They don't officially take reservations but if we plan to show up around 1:30 on Saturday we can pretty much take over the main area of the place which is more spacious than the cramped area to the right of the LAN center that we've gotten in previous LAN's.
The rate of the place is $2 an hour. Everyone will have to have enough cash for the 8 hours or however long you plan to stay plus dinner. Dinner won't be too expensive and once we figure out the prices there I'll edit this post. Also I'll be raising some cash prizes from anyone interested for the TOURNAMENT pot. I'll be throwing in some for sure.
Sending out the PM's en masse right now and then I'm going to be down and out for a good 5 days with not much internet access. I'll be back in action starting Monday I just wanted to get this thread up while I have the chance.
Hope everyone had a great summer and hope we get a HUGE turnout for this LAN! I'll keep everyone updated and in the KNOW as we move forward. Also feel free to use this thread to set up carpools if you need to or who might need rides from metro etc.
cliffs:
1. Epic LAN in Washington D.C/Baltimore Area planned for Saturday October 3rd
2. Post in this thread if you can come or not or if you have any questions/comments/suggestions.
