Many thanks to R1CH for all the amazing work! if you read the patch notes, you'll see that a similar function has already been implemented into the game

It's built in now:
------------------------------------------------------------------------- - patch 1.16.1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Feature Changes
- In-game Speed Options menu now has a "Enable CPU Throttling" checkbox. Enabling this option will allow StarCraft to consume fewer CPU cycles. By default this option is off.

Wow you are really fast! Thanx again tl.net!

CPU Savior 1.6 supporting 1.16.1 is now available for those of you who have issues with CPU Throttling.
|
does this mean there will be more lag too?
|
|
why do we need savior if its built in?
not trying to demean your plugin, just trying to understand.
|
what exactly does cpu throttling do? does it make the game slower or is it always advised to use it?

Lag has more to do with network/internet issues than hardware/computational issues

Did you even read what you quoted?

If you read what you quoted...
I've been using your timerInfo exe to get rid of my bnet menu lag. I don't know if this would accomplish the same thing but I'll try it out.

It should, provided you disable CPU Throttling.

Thanks for the update. Really appreciate it. I've been getting bnet menu lag and slight ingame mouse lag as well with just throttleing feature.
I just wish it was allowed with iccup ah plugin..

Thanks R1CH, BW would not be the same without you. I seriously think Blizzard should be paying you and MoC.

I just wish it was allowed with iccup ah plugin.. It shouldn't be detected by iccup, but chaos launcher refuses to load it for some reason.

Oh I see, I found it odd because before the chaos launcher update it used to work (old version of cpu savior) with iccup ah.

I think I removed it from the whitelist a few updates ago since there was no cpusavior for 1.16.1. Get the latest Chaoslauncher (0.5.4.3) and it will work again.

ok so just to clarify this is basically a surrogate for the cpu throttling except this doesnt have the small jitter/lag the throttling comes with right?
