I've recently been introduced to chiptune music by a friend of mine and I'm really digging the 8-bit tunes that remind me so much of my childhood NES games. Are there other chiptune diggers here at TL and futheremore are there ppl that compose chiptune music using gameboys or other software?
To get you started on chiptune music I recommend visiting 8-bit collective at http://8bitcollective.com. You can find some pretty awesome music there and if you are an oldschool console gamer I recommend you to visit just for the nostalgia factor.
Sabrepulse is also a very gifted artist, he's my favorite :D. You can find all of his chiptunes on the web, and he's made a LOT :p almost every album is a different style, so i'm sure you'll find something you like.
I've loved chiptunes for years, they use them in mainstream music in bits and pieces. (puns are fun) Just such a cool unique sound, electric has a heart!
You will find many links to : - VSTi plugins(freewares mainly) directly downloadable, sorted by emulation type - good chiptrackers (without hardware emulator) - chiptune webradios - chiptune composers - chiptune netlabels - chiptune hardwares - chiptune generators - more and more audio demos about each VSTi plugin !
