Jaedong's group is sick, it's built for the sole purpose of sniping Jaedong. The only thing it's lacking is (T)sKyHigh unfortunately This is Luxury's doing. He built up a pretty good group for himself while simultaneously making sure that Jaedong had as rough a time as possible. Now all he has to do is actually play like someone who won the MSL last season. I have to ask: was Jangbi high when he made his group? He actually used one of his transfers to ensure that he played Bisu. Let the full weight of this sink in: JangBi choose to play Bisu over Effort! I get his intention in making an all-Protoss group. His PvP is pretty strong. But come on, man; choosing to play Bisu, especially when you have a record of being routinely crushed by him, is just crazy.

No, he got Flash out of the group because he is his teammate and got rid of the two protoss in his group. The group was already this hard.

Not that easy to say, but Lux has been playing like a freaking cow. Hwasin is slumping..again. Hiya has been playing well for Hwaseung and Effort is posting solid results. I expect these two to make it through Group B: JangBi,Bisu, free, Kal JangBi's play after the LostSaga MSL was goddamn awfull. He went like..what..2-7? Jesus. You do NOT expect that from the MSL runner up. Bisu is a lock in into the MSL ro16, and Kal sucks PvP. So im going to have to say that free will also get into the MSL ro16. His PvP isn't his best matchup, but PvP relies on heavy goon + reaver micro, something free excells at. Re-watching the Clubday MSL's, if free had faced Jangbi, i have no doubt free would have beated him. Group C: Stork, Shine, PianO, Kwanro Stork has 2 terrans, and i hope to good god he can beat Kwanro. ( i mean...his PvZ has gotten a bit better...) Shine and PianO are still both somewhat young, and i think the savy veterens will take them to school. Group D: ZerO, sKyHigh, Sea, Calm What a godawful group. SkyHigh is a lock in with the way he's been playing, and ZerO i guess would take the second spot. Calm has been looking wayyy too mortal lately losing to Hoejja in GOM... And Sea is busy playing SF.. Group E: NaDa, Iris, Horang2, UpMaGiC With the way NaDa played last MSL, i have no doubt that he will make it out of his group. Berseker has also been playing some spectacular starcraft as of late. UpMaGiC and Horang2 both rely on their creativity to win games, but both Iris and NaDa have been on the scene longer than the two combined, so i think their "sense of star" will protect them from any cheese the latter 2 throw at them. Group F: Leta, fantasy, Jaedong, Movie Wow fuck me. Group of Death rofl sup? Leta's TvZ is spectacularrr.. Unfortunatly..that does not extend to JD. The only Terran who seems to be able to match JD in a straight up game is Fantasy. JD is a lock in, and I think Fantasy's air-tight TvP and TvT will help propell him into the MSL ro16 Group G: sAviOr, Canata, Flash, go.go 3 T's WHATT? Canata's been playing well lately. His TvT has always been his best MU, so no problems there. And Flash...is Flash. Always a suprise. Group H: fOrGG, Much, firebathero, Pure Godawful. When Much is the favorite to get out of a group you know how bad the group sucks. Both fOrGG and FBH suck suck suck vs P, and Pure is pretty damn good. I expect Pure and Much to get out of this group

It seems like Jangbi and Stork are getting out of slump. Luxury also played better last couple of games. Will he recover from his slump or not, who knows. Much is also looking better lately. On the other hand we have huge question marks: Nada? Savior? What's up with Free who is 3-7 in last 10? Can Zero show again his play that brought him to spot 3 last PR?

I expect Pure and Much to get out of this group Reasonable predictions and well thought out, Id just comment that Jaedong should make it out, but not to overlook By.Movie, who is a great PvZer, and seems to have jaedong's number. Movie's PvT isnt to great so hed probably have to do something creative to beat the terran winner, or possibly jaedong again. And Fantasy the only terran to match straight up game? Id say that title would go to Flash or Sea. Fantasy had some interesting builds to almost bagel jd, but well we know what happened in the end. For group G, Id say savior has a good shot at 2nd seed, because both gogo and canata have soso tvz MnM, and seem to go mech with a deceint frequency which savior seems to do well against. For me Groups D and The Dragoon Group seem the most volatile, never know how Sea and Zero will play, and the same for Kal, Jangbi, and Free.

But go watch Violet vs Luxury - that wasn't Luxury playing bad, that was Violet beating out a Luxury playing maybe not at the top of his game, but very well. Luxury vs Saint? Okay, so Saint's ZvZ isn't good, but Luxury absolutely trashed him. As usual, I think we'll see the good Luxury show up now that starleague season is back in force. Okay, even in the Saint game. Lux still lost that first muta micro bad even though he had 2 hatcheries of production units to Saint's 1. End of story, Lux sucks big time right now. Saying he'll show good ZvZ is wishful thinking right now.

A: Luxury, Hwasin, HiyA, EffOrt EffOrt has been excellent of late, look for him, not only to advance but contend for the title. Final four is a possibility for him. As for the rest; Hwasin has excellent TvZ, and with Luxury playing the way he's been playing (I've seen evidence of improvement, but I'm not sold yet), I gotta give the always-solid Hwasin the advantage here. HiYa is a non-factor. B: JangBi, Bisu, free[gm], Kal The dragon group has two real, fire-breathing monsters and two whelps. Bisu advances, and so will JangBi. free has not looked like his old self of late, and Kal has been strong but inconsistent, and simply falls short here. Tough group. C: Stork, Shine, PianO, Kwanro Stork should take this easy group with ease. The next spot figures to go to Kwanro, although PianO's weak-spot is protoss, (which nobody here should win anyway) and his results against Z and T have been solid enough to give him an outside chance. D: ZerO, sKyHigh, Sea, Calm This is a tough group to call, and a bit disappointing in terms of star-quality. sKyHigh should have no trouble advancing. Sea has quite a pedigree in this match-up lifetime, but he hasn't really beaten a legitimate zerg threat in some time. That leaves me doubting how long he'll stick around in this group, although I wouldn't rule out an upset. That leaves a ZvZ to decide it, and with both players sporting 50% win-rates, and neither player being named "Jaedong", I have no idea who will win the second spot. We'll say ZerO. E: NaDa, Iris, Horang2, UpMaGiC This is probably the toughest group to call, I could see all four of these players getting in. I'm going to go with Iris and UpMaGiC, because I don't trust Horang2's inexperience, especially against the experience and creativity of this group. And I just don't trust NaDa to be quite as good as the other two here. F: Leta, fantasy, Jaedong, Movie This is bad news for Leta, because he is going to be the odd man out of the group of death. Leta is the game's most consistent litmus test, he never loses to players worse than him, and always loses to those who are better. Jaedong is pretty much 2portwraith-proof, and recently wrecked Leta in proleague action. Leta's best chance is to beat fantasy, but in a starleague, I'm going for fantasy's preparation and TvT skill. Oh, and if Movie advances from this group, I'll eat my computer. G: sAviOr, Canata, Flash, go.go The thought of anyone in this group not named "Flash" advancing makes me angry, especially when Leta or fantasy, Kal or free or JangBi, all are on the chopping block. But what can you do? I gotta like Canata on pure skill, I could see sAviOr, but not really, and go.go advances over my dead body. I see Canata grabbing this gift spot in the next round. H: fOrGG, Much, firebathero, Pure Another clunker of a group, with two slumping Terran, and two Protoss who are both playing well. Give me the toss.
